Does anybody know of a program that can take animated screen shots for Linux?  If you know a program that can take screen shots for Windows (XP) too, then that would be cool, but I'm mostly looking for one for Linux right now.

but I thought HP calcs were the most powerful in term of processors? The only problem is that most schools doesn't support them (like casio) and there isn't a huge community about HP calc programming :(sad.gif

Who needs the extra processing power; it's not like they're any good HP games out there anyway that take advantage of it anyway.

Cool.

Using the inline assembler seems to be annoying, having to have a tab preceding each instruction and a "\n" after each instruction.  Also, what does the instruction "mulu" do?  I've never seen that before.  o.oblink.gif

Netham: That's so sickeningly awesome.  B)cool.gif

I've switched to the "hacked" theming for now (using the patched DLL), and at the moment, I don't really feel like using a Mac OS-like dock, so.... http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/8046/compssgi5.png

EDIT:  I should have included a sample of the window decoration in that screen shot.  Anyway... http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/6687/compsshg1.png http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/641/compsslx3.png

EDIT:  My start menu screen shot seems to have gotten gut off...well...whatever....

General Discussion / Music Composing Software?
« on: September 20, 2007, 03:34:00 pm »
nitacku: Acid Pro looks awesome, but the only free version is a trial.  Fl Studio, Cubase, Native Instruments' software, MTV Music Generator, and Guitar Pro all seem to not be completely free, and Logic Studio is not only not free, but it seems to be Mac-only (I only have Linux and Windows).  Is there anything good that is free (and that isn't just a trial version or a demo), or would I have to pay to get good music-composing software?

OK, thanks everybody.  :)smile.gif

Oh, and I forgot to ask - do any of these work on Linux?  It's OK if they don't but I'd really prefer to work on my Linux computer.

General Discussion / Music Composing Software?
« on: September 19, 2007, 01:43:00 pm »
I'm looking for (free) music-composing software (that doesn't require a microphone or recording, but, if possible, have it as an option).  I'd what something that supports (at least):violin, piano, guitar, and drums.  I'd prefer if it could save as one or more of the following formats: MP3, MIDI, WAVE.  Does anybody know of anything that meets these specifications?
