Casio PRIZM / MLC being developed for fx-9860G
« on: August 22, 2007, 03:41:00 am »
Sorry for it taking so long for me to reply - I was in Costa Rica for a while.

"Idk he doesn't post much anymore anywhere and he didnt posted any progress beforehand"  Sorry, and besides Costa Rica, I spent part of my summer in Kentucky helping to repair/build houses of poor people, and summer school, caddying, and staying over at my cousin's house also limited my time to post on these forums and develop MLC 68k.

There has been some progress on MLC 68K, but nothing big.  I've been mostly doing some work on the tokenizer, which converts MLC source code into smaller (which also makes them faster to interpret) programs.

kucalc:  Awesome!  I noticed on the Universal Casio Forum:

Sorry to say, but it uses the MLC1 standard. I did it for two reasons:

1. I'll wait for huhn_m so we both of us can take it to MLC2.
2. The TI guys working on MLC for TI calcs still use syntax similar to MLC1. Or at least I believe so, I'll have to contact them.

So far, I think most of the features implemented are in MLC1 and MLC2.  I think.  I'll have to get on my computer that has the MLC 68K source code....  Anyway, I've implemented a "sine" command to calculate the sine of a number, given its angle in degrees.  The thing is, I don't think it's in MLC1 or MLC2, yet.  Do you think I should just remove it?  I just thought that it'd be kind of useful, though.

samy:  Welcome to Omnimaga!

Yeah, samy has started (and made significant progress on) his own version of MLC 68K, and he kindly let me have the sources, so now we can combine our MLC 68K sources to make a super  pwnage MLC 68k.   :lol:bounce2.gif

Cool.  I tried downloading it, but it's downloading way too slowly (particularly because of my wireless internet).  I'll try to download it when I'm on a different computer.

"even in assembly 2v2 would be impossible, unless you manage to get wi-fi connection to your calc or a special cable you make yourself, because the only link cable they have would only allow 1v1" -> Two players on one calculator, two players on another calculator.  :)smile.gif

Backlight's cool, you can finally use your calculator during the night w/o lights. (Unless you've already memorized the key locations, in which case you've already been doing so.)

 Meh, I can probably figure out most of the key locations.  It's the sreen that one should be worried about.  That's what backlights are typically for anyway.  :Ptongue.gif

psedo_randomist == imposter! O_Oshocked2.gif

I missed what happend over the last day or so 'cause I was switching operating systems (and I'm still setting this one up).

Heh, I was guessing that psedo_randomist was an imposter.  It's psedo_randomist anyway (despite it being spelled wrongly).  :Ptongue.gif
