Computer Programming / Halifax's C tutorials« on: January 30, 2007, 03:32:00 pm »
I'm looking forward to these.
From the table of contents. it looks like overall the tutorials will end up good (or at least well organized). There are a few small things I would change at times, though, such as using "arithmetic" instead of "math" in one spot, using "keyword" instead of "operator" at times, and some slight order changes But I'm just being picky. 453

That's not a reason to develop for MirageOS instead of Ion. Note that Demon is asking which one should he develop for, not which one should he use on his calculator. I don't know anybody that uses Ion anymore. But, just to be safe, if your program doesn't need any of MirageOS's routines, I recommend building it for Ion. If it really needs one of MirageOS's routines, then build it to use MirageOS. EDIT: Liazon, you posted right before me. Just thought I'd mention that.... 455

And I actually would play guitar too, but I don't have one. I want to learn to play it well, someday, and maybe even compose a few songs.... 456

RSS feeds, yea! Nice work. You're definitely better than me at mIRC scripting, especially considering that I didn't even know enough how to make my own codes by myself, so I had to base my codes off of rivereye's....

Nice sprites. You can improve them if you want, but they seem good enough already to me.

To clarify who is in the game, here is the list, what they want to look like, and their role(s) in the game (in alphabetical order):
bfr Cure777 - wants to look like L from Death Note Deeph - NPC or salesman in store Delnar_Ersike - warlock Dragon_lance - one of three main characters / xlibman's royal guards elfprince13 - is an elf graywolf - a mage (or gray wolf) Halifax - crazy idiot walking around town, long hair, no weapons Jeremy Avalon JincS Jon leofox Liazon necro - long hair, sells expensive stuff, has a sword Netham45 PoisonedV pyro_xp2k Radial Pi - radical politition, has his own army, fights with Super Speler rivereye - one of three main characters / xlibman's royal guards, wants fishing gear Spellshaper - wants to be weird...? spengo - crazy, involved with bananas, has ultimate uber-1337 zombie-fighting sk1llz of dh00m Super Speler -leader of an army Tenniskid - one of three main characters / xlibman's royal guards trevmeister66 - poor guy / rock that randomly talks xlibman - king Again, if anybody wants to look a specific way, you can give me a sprite (you don't have to give me a sprite for every single position, such as walking left, etc. - I can just base the rest off of the still main sprite if you want me to) 463

Here's a new screenshot of Tenniskid walking around:
Deeph, here are the 32x32 versions of rivereye, tenniskid, and dragon_lance: (rivereye is the first one, Tenniskid is the second, and dragon_lance is obviously the last one) Could you make 16x16 4-level grayscale sprites for rivereye being still, walking up, walking down, walking left, and walking right? 464

Delnar_Ersike: Yeah, that was just me testing the something. And I'll gladly make you a warlock
rivereye, you can have some fishing gear Here's a new screenshot: The beautiful grayscale dialogs are from Boolsoft's Advanced Dialogs library. 465

The only tiles from Zelda that I'm going to use are going to be the water and maybe the grass. Would anybody mind making 16x16 4-level grayscale sprites for Tenniskid and rivereye? Here are the 32x32 versions of them: (rivereye is the first one, Tenniskid is the second, and dragon_lance is obviously the last one) |
