New screenshot of dragon_lance walking:  I'm using Zelda tiles at the moment because I can't seem to find a tool that generates that C code for grayscale 16x16 tile-maps. Remember, if you are in the game and want your sprite to look a certain way, just tell me.

Use Flex for the lexer, Bison for the parser and GCC for the optimization and code generation. You don't have to "re-invent" the wheel. You should really talk to Kevin Kofler about this if you need any help; he's really good with this type of stuff (especially considering that he's the lead maintainer of TIGCC).

I don't program in TI-BASIC for the Ti-83+ series much, nor do I know how you're implementing maps, but I think you could just store different values in the map data matrix...right?

Kevin, I'd have to (overall) agree with elfprince on this. Elfprince was just stating his opinion in a debate. He wasn't spamming saying "IF SUCKS IF SUCKS1111." He gave his reasons and didn't really seem to be rude, as far as I can tell from what I've read so far. Maybe elfprince could have been slightly nicer, but I agree with elfprince for the most part. And although Kevin doesn't have power over other forums, he still is allowed to punish somebody, to some extent, for he/she doing something bad on another forum because of the fear that he/she will do it on his forum.
