Sorry, but I'm not good with sprites.  Besides, I'm kind of busy, with projects being wrapped up and semester finals drawing near.

(I'm just replying so you know that I/(the members of Omnimaga) aren't ignoring this)

Haha, my window is kind of distorted at the moment, causing some smileys to be uber fat and funny-looking.   :Dbiggrin.gif

Anyway, have a good time building robots.  We (probably won't) forget you.  :)smile.gif

Miscellaneous / Eragon

I knew that this thread would be a hit.  :Dbiggrin.gif

I congradulate the author for writing Eragon when he was so young and for it even becoming a reasonably popular movie.

I personally didn't really enjoy the movie though.  It was just too "cheesy."  The whole story seemed a bit rushed.  Some parts were OK, but overall, I didn't really enjoy it.  Maybe the book is better.  A year or so ago, I read the first few pages of the book and was bored.  I might give it another chance, but I already know what happens.

Delnar_Ersike: What does grayscale have to do with animated screenshots?

"Eragon" has been popping up every once in a while in the forums and IRC.  What do you all think of it?

I'd be interested in doing something like that; maybe you should write a tutorial.  ;)wink.gif

I need to finish the tileset.  Does anybody know of a program to generate C code for each tile in a 16x16 four-level grayscale sprite sheet?

Ok, since this is an RPG, have the procrastinator be defeated in the end, then I walk in... Fadeout and room for a sequel. :Dbiggrin.gif

You have to add me to the list of people who want to be in it, too.

By "procrastinator", I take it you mean "protagonist"?   :Ptongue.gif

Super_Speler:  I might figure out some way for you to have your own army.  Maybe you could be another one of xlibman's enemies.

Anyway, here is how it's going to be set up:

xlibman:  The king

Dragon_lance, rivereye, Tenniskid:  At the beginning of the game, the user chooses to be one of these characters.  Each one has different powers and abilities.

Everybody else:  I'll have to figure out some way to implement you all in the game.  If you want to be something specifically (as Super Speler said he wants to have an army), just tell me.  Anybody else who joins after the next week or so will probably either end up being a minor character or will not be in it at all, because I need to start finalizing how the game will be.

necro:  I haven't taken a screenshot it a while.  Here's an old screenshot:  user posted image

I would vote for 32x16 or 24x12 or 16x8, but they were not in the list to vote for. ;)wink.gif

I think by 8x16, Liazon meant 16x8.  8x16 would be quite interesting on a calculator, considering that the screen's width is typically greater than its height.

Web Programming and Design / "Bad" IP Addresses
« on: January 04, 2007, 06:28:00 am »
The old host was...bad, so my Bad Ips thing wasn't working for a while.  tifreak8x kindly let me have a subdomain a TI Freak Ware, so it't up-and-runnning again.

http://bfr.tifreakware.net/badips.php

If you have a bad IP, then give it to me.  :)smile.gif

The next feature that I plan to add is multiple IP submitting, and then after that, a good administration panal, because I don't have access to PHPMyAdmin.

EDIT:  I finished the administration panal, oddly before allowing multiple IP addresses to be submitted.  If anybody is interested in helping my manage the database, just PM me.  It isn't very hard; just check the database every once in a while to make sure there isn't spam.
