Miscellaneous / xlibman, don't go!« on: January 02, 2007, 10:34:00 am »
Please don't go, xlibman. Just...please don't go. It's not really going to help. It's going to hurt Omnimaga, us, and anybody else who cares about you.

Good points.
By x80s, I take it you mean TI-8x. 515
Computer Usage and Setup Help / Fedora vs Ubuntu« on: January 01, 2007, 09:41:00 am »
I'm going to install Linux on the new computer I'm building. Whenever I've asked people which distro of Linux I should get, the response was either Ubuntu or Fedora. At the moment, I'm downloading Fedora, but I can easily change my mind.
I'm looking for something that can fit on a 700mb CD, isn't too hard to install and configure, is user-friendly, but it is also reasonably fast and powerful. I don't care much about good multimedia support, although it would be a nice bonus. EDIT: I'm getting Ubuntu, but even though I'm staff here, I don't have the ability to delete my own pole. -.- 517

Thanks. I kind of feel like coding this more (and I'll hopefully feel like coding MLC more, because I haven't for the past few days), so expect some new features and optimizations.
But I don't really know what to add...maybe more items.... Any suggestions? 518

This was my TI Freak-Ware contest entry. I thought it would be interesting to log my progress online (a place that was hidden, though, of course). Now that the contest is over, I've unhid the forum, so you all can take a look at the progress in case you're interested: http://bfr.18.forumer.com/index.php?showforum=19
(There are screenshots too) I might work on this more...maybe when I have less other projects to work on.... 519
Here's the new MLC website (it's under construction though...):

http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/nonProductMulti/nspire_cas.html I could add CAS, but that's like adding PLT to Voyage 200. I'll just change it anyway, though. 522

Do you think you will get one? (trying to create some activity here)

Those are practically the same calculators I have. I have a TI-84+ Silver Edition (which I got fairly recently), a TI-86, and a Voyage 200. My sister also has a TI-89 Titanium, which I use more than her.
Besides the POTY programs, I recommend Ice Hockey 68K (which I heard was buggy, though, but I never really had any problems with it) and, of course, Pheonix Platimum Edition (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/246/24625.html) for your TI-89. There are many other good games though, some of which I haven't even tried. |
