:(sad.gif I'm sory to see rs go, those companies seems untrustworthy I wonder why i should get  a domain name for my website, seeing this happens

 http://www.1and1.com is really good though (for web hosting, which includes free domain name(s) and for just domain names); it's what http://www.ticalcs.net uses.  Domain hosting companies are the same  :)smile.gif .

rivereye:   :(sad.gif I was wondering why I couldn't access the website earlier today....  In case you want to get a domain name again, here are some plans that you can compare: http://order.1and1.com/xml/order/HostingOverview;jsessionid=DC9F0177E37830CEF1C0E87CFD4E9F2D.TC61a?__frame=_top&__lf=Static.

Other Calculators / Text Tools (includes TI-83+ BASIC Scrollbar)
« on: October 07, 2006, 09:45:00 am »
This scrollbar program was featured in a suite of programs that perform effects on text...Text Tools (soon, or maybe not so soon, to be availible at http://www.ticalc.org).  It is in 100% TI-83+ TI-BASIC, except for a little bonus program that I included that is in assembly that inverses text.  Here are some screenshots:

Nice idea, but I just don't really see the point in making a C to TI-BASIC converter, no offense.  It's not really going to be any easier, more powerful, or faster.  If you're just making this for the fun of it, then go for it  :thumbup:google.gif .  But it seems like a kind of tricky thing to program - just warning you.  I might be misunderstand what you said, though.

I'm wondering how you're going to have memory allocation in TI-BASIC o.oblink.gif .

Also, you might want to look over the main function again.   For the third argument in the for() loop, you should also write that as count += 2.  And just one more tip:

c1-->
CODE
ec1
int a:
int b:
c2
ec2

can be written as:

c1
-->
CODE
ec1
int a,b;
c2
ec2

I'm wasn't sure if it should go here, but just to be safe.....

It just seems like there isn't much to talk about after I post it.  But, I guess it could go somewhere else.  I'll move it though :)smile.gif.

I've been getting into making small TI-83+ TI-BASIC programs with cool effects lately.  Anyway, it lets the user scroll down some text.  It's almost finished.  I still need to optimize it though.  Here's a screenshot of it running on a regular TI-83+:

mmmm... anime...

currently I have hellsing pics rotating through my wallpaper changer. Go go Alucard!

 I wouldn't be able to concentrate if my wallpaper was changing constantly.  :gah:fou.gif It'd also takes some time (maybe not much, but still), so instead of focusing on building my C project or something, it'd be working on changing the background as well.  Maybe I would like it though, I haven't tried it.

Not to turn this into a TI-83+/TI-86 flaming thread but I have a TI-84+ Silver Edition and a TI-86, so I know some about both.  Here are a few things that weren't mentioned (not all of them are completely TI-BASIC related though):

It's easier to access menu options in the TI-86
The TI-86 has a larger screen
The TI-86 has more stuff for conversion
THe TI-86 can scroll down the Ti-BASIC editor easilier
The TI-86 has greek characeters, and Calcman is a greek character, so I had to change him for the TI-83+/TI-84+ Silver Edition version of Calcman >:( :Ptongue.gif
The TI-86 is better
*bfr hides* umm...hehe I was just kidding.....

The TI-84+ Silver Edition is uber fast, but the regular TI-83+ probably isn't, so that doesn't really count....
The TI-83+ has Flash ROM
The TI-83+ can draw white lines
The TI-83+ can draw big text on the graph screen

The TI BASIC editor may impose other limitations too -- I don't know.

If you go with the text editor, then you may not have any limitations.

I think xlibman meant that the TI-83+ version of MLC can't edit access #$%&@, and there isn't a builit-in (not preinstalled application) for it anyway, at least to my limited knowledge of the TI-83+.  Or am I the one misunderstanding something...hmmm...   o.oblink.gif

I (and Madskillz, if he wants to) am going to be posting progress and anouncements here too.  :)smile.gif  I was just trying to remind people of the website, and what information it has, because it is new.
