The Axe Parser Project / Re: Axe Parser on 84+CSE ?
« on: December 29, 2013, 12:31:12 pm »
But can we have a new version of Axe specifically for the CSE?

I'd be glad to join one. But my computer can't really host one for tens of users.

Yet another update. Lots of bugfixes, and the remnants of the first World 10 boss coming into place.

Still such a pity that now we have to resort to hardware mods. However, this method is better than nothing!

Great. I'll try to get on during Thanksgiving break.

TI-BASIC / Re: TI-83+/84+ (SE) BASIC Tips, Tricks, and Routines

Another idea is to have a subprogram for the main game.

113
Convert it to a PDF then use this.

It only matters when you need to cram a 12k program in 8k or whatever. For such a small basic program tiny optimization is just a waste of time. You need to save bytes on structure of the program. Check if there are smarter ways to get to the same result. That is what's optimization is all about.
It always matters. Small optimizations add up.

Can people release their game after the deadline or do they have to wait for the judges to finish?
Read the rules; they say that they can't.

Would have been six, had I not have been busy last month. But congratulations to all the participants and our new admin!

Miscellaneous / Re: Quick Survey About You and Omnimaga.
« on: November 07, 2013, 01:51:10 am »
1) How did you first learn about Omnimaga and what aspect influenced you to stay?
Calculator programs, of course. I seem to like the friendly community, as well as a lot of interesting projects.
2) Do you feel as if we have similarities outside of programming naturally. If so, what are they? (i.e. MLP fans)
Losing the game, enjoying old games, and producing art and music.
3) For what reason(s) do you frequent Omnimaga over other sites like Cemetech or TIPlanet? (Or vise-versa)
The forum navigation is beautiful, and when I first joined Cemetech, I didn't have a Prizm (I do now). Plus, Omnimaga is more populous, if I'm not mistaken.
4) Do you consider the community of Omnimaga to have a main goal(s)? (if so, what are they?)
Encouraging people to program. And being the main beacon of the calculator programmers.
5) How do you feel your relationship is with other members?
It's rebuilding after a history of trolling, I think.
6) Do you find that Omnimaga (and calc programming) has helped you in the outside world?
Not really; our CS teacher didn't want us to use ?: at all, or ++ or -- in expressions. But I do it anyway.
7) What is your favorite inside joke/lingo?  (i.e. Holy Necropost Batman!  or Welcome peanuts etc.)
Peanuts, and
* blue_bear_94 lost
8 ) What country are you from?
I was born in South Korea, but now I've lived in the U. S. for, what? 12 years?
If you have any questions or ideas for new questions, feel free to ask or let me know Smiley

News / Re: Casio PRIZM OS 2.00 released

Quote
On the PRIZM (when running at 58 MHz), it takes 60 seconds. D:
That looks pretty horrible, indeed!? Are you sure there aren't other drawing commands available? :(
There are others, but all of them are horribly slow. Of course, drawing something like a line is much faster than drawing 200 pixels individually, but drawing lines on the Prizm is still slower than drawing lines on a TI z80.
I wonder whether the delay in drawing is intentional or not.

Maybe they ahd to cahnge it because of TIs new policies?
Those who received their calculator after 2/2013 would be breaking them, then.
