I am sick of MIDI drums. Can you suggest some VST's or samples? (Particularly VST's)

Recently, per request, I made a trollface emoicon. As you can see, it has been added to omnimaga's emoticon selection. I have some more rage faces here.

Me and some other omniers fill out sprite requests from time to time. However, this section of the forum is disorganized, and that is not easy. So, if you have a sprite request, fill it like this so people know that it needs to be filled still:
SPRITE REQUEST: (two word descrition of sprite) (dimensions of sprite) And if the request is filled, or you no longer need the sprite, edit the first post and rename the topic so it says *FILLED* SPRITE REQUEST: (two word descrition of sprite) (dimensions of sprite) or *NVRMND*SPRITE REQUEST: (two word descrition of sprite) (dimensions of sprite) When you are browsing. This makes it so that people know what you want and if you still need it. It makes it easier for you and us request fillers. Thank you!

I am planning to write a short (repeat: short, this is my first story for fun) spy (not novel, not novella, but longer than short story) story. I was inspired by Alex Rider, Austin Powers, and Last Action Hero, so I want - The bad guy to have a really evil, high stakes plot
- It to be funny (mostly camp because I am not exactly a comedy writer)
- The action to be REALLY REALLY over the top.
Idea Table: Bad Guys | Assassins | Schemes | Names | Alexander Salvon Young, blonde rich kid who has a lot of silver | Jawbreaker Hydraulic carbonized steel Jaw | Blows up golden asteroid, | Die Again Tomorrow | Hal Burton Unsatisfied businessman Very evil and corrupt | Name? Paralyzed; synthetic spiderweb exoskeleton | Theaten world with particle gun | Live and then Die |
So I want some feedback. Any ideas? Anybody have some really good world domination schemes?

I was wondering if you could build a handheld computer with both a Z80 and a M68K so it could play both 83/84 and 89 calc games. Could you do this? And if so, how?

It has now been two weeks since I joined Omni. feels like forever though! So far, I have made just about 100 posts a week. Most parents I have heard talked about on this forum are really against programming. Poor buttsfredkin found that omnimaga.org was blocked by his parents one day. Sometimes calc use is discouraged or even constrained.
My parents want me to have the best programming experience I can and to follow my passion. They recently agreed to fork over half the cost of a calculator just in case it would make it better for what I love to do. My parents let me compose and play music all the time, and don't make me. They are very supportive of non-conventionality.
Is this strange?

So, because of a last minute confusion with back to school purchases, clothes shopping, supply buying, and generous grandparents, long story short, I have gotten the amazing and rare opportunity to get
ONE FREE CALCULATOR (spending at most 20 bucks) Courtesy of Staples.
So, I now pass on the decision to those I trust most with a calculator - You, Omni.
So, Omni, which Calculator should I get? I want good games and a good programming experience.

Good and bad news. For the school year... my grandparents bout me a TI 84 + SE!!!! However, the school already provides one, albeit not for games. My parents didn't know that. They offered me to trade it in for a TI 89 TITANIUM EDITION!!!!! But I don't need it. My family is kinda tight with money. I REALLY want one of them because i have only and 83+, but I don't want to take advantage of them like that. But I could really use EITHER higher model. My grandparents were the one that bought it, and I would chip in, so my parents would only have to pay like $25. What should I do?

Once, a few years ago, in seventh grade, my kind and loving uncle gave me his beloved TI83 Plus. I have a memory and focus problem... what was I saying? Oh yeah. So I lost everything, homework, tootbrushes, medication, and I forget lots of important things. After a few weeks of learning and having fun with my calculator, my mom realized that it wasworth over $100, as the TI calcs are high end. She made me promise I wouldn't lose it. You can see where this is going. So, one night I came up the stairs to do my math homework. I was taking the public bus to my dad's house. When I pulled out my math homework MY CALCULATOR WASN'T THERE!!!!!!! I had a full out mental breakdown. I just totally lost it. I began pacing around the room bawling. There were two things that just killed me. 1. It was one of the few things I PROMISED I wouldn't lose. 2. It was my baby! :'( But a few minutes later, my dad came in and pulled it out of a different pocket in my bag. I WAS SO MAD The shock of "losing it" wasso bad I coudn't stop crying or even function beyond life for another hour. It was one of the most devastating *unimportant* experiences in my life. For that matter... I'll talk about the Tony Hawk incedent later...

[sarcasm] Rule #1: Never update the first post! People LOOVE to dig through your thread in order to find the latest update. When I find myself looking at the first post in a project topic, I always enjoy seeing no progress updates, the oldest screenshots, and thinking it has gotten nowhere. The first post is for just announcing the project, and it is the end user's responsibility to dig through page after page of posts to find news.
Rule #2: Put the most important things last!! Everybody loves to read your rants, old screenshots, musings, and plans for future features before seeing the overview of the info and the download link.
Rule #3: Make the first post really long!!! Never put change logs in spoilers! Everybody LOOVES to read about every single change you made in the program before seeing the most recent updates. Always put screenshots line by line and outside of spoilers, and the most important screens (i.e.) animated ones at the bottom. I always love to see all of the old screenshots of crappy beta versions before I see a nice animated current screenshots. In fact, NEVER put new screenshots in the first post! Note: lots of unnecessary info and rants make for good first post fluff.
[/sarcasm]
Who am I kidding? Those are the things NOBODY should do!!! First posts are for updating info and having a quick overview of the topic, the rest is for discussion, people. Feel free to add more anti-rules.

So, in homescreen invaders, the alien fleet is rendered by the program reading from a 3X5 matrix and drawing a V in the appropriate position. Howver, it doesn't draw anything. Also, the matrix is appropriately filled with 1's for the example. Here is the code:
1→M 1→X 1→Y While M≤15 If X≤5 Then If Y≤3 Then If [I](Y,X)=1 Output(Y+3,X+3,"V" If [I](Y,X)=0 Output(Y+3,X+3," " Else Goto Z End Else X+1→X Y+1→Y End M+1→M End

Some have you may have joined in on the fun last night when I was the MC in a role-playing-game on Omnimaga Radio. (I didn't know what it was for because it was broken) So tonight at 5:00 PM EST, I am hosting another on #boot2490rpg on EFNet. (The same server as #omnimaga.) At least Juju and Parser Padwan will testify to the intense and blazing excitement I invented for the action scenes. One time, Parser Padwan's jacket was stuck under a van while a machine gun was slowly aiming toward his waist. It was about to tear him into oblivion! I think that the RPG tonight will be very fun. See you there!
