PROGRESS for my 201st post!!!!!!
This is more of an idea, that comes with a poll. I have an idea that will make the game two or three times as fast, but will make the game a tiny bit less like space invaders. Imagine space invaders, but upside down. (disp command) Now imagine instead of the enemies moving left and right, they just move up slower. Additionally, firing is faster and more frequent like a real space battle. This would make the game so much faster, just as challenging, but this much ( ) more different from space invaders, worth considering. What do you think? 440

It has now been two weeks since I joined Omni. feels like forever though!
So far, I have made just about 100 posts a week. That is too many posts, and I will slow down in time, but I love Omni so much. So, this post will launch me into LEVEL 5!!! So, I just wanted to say it has been really awesome guys. Keep up the good work. See you on the forums!! 441

Miscellaneous / How come I have the best parents ever???« on: September 28, 2011, 09:05:01 pm »
Most parents I have heard talked about on this forum are really against programming.
Poor buttsfredkin found that omnimaga.org was blocked by his parents one day. Sometimes calc use is discouraged or even constrained. My parents want me to have the best programming experience I can and to follow my passion. They recently agreed to fork over half the cost of a calculator just in case it would make it better for what I love to do. My parents let me compose and play music all the time, and don't make me. They are very supportive of non-conventionality. Is this strange? 444

I see that the 84 has the best games and community atm, (wiith the Prism and nSpire closing in) but the only reason I am hesitant not to just get it is because I already have an 83+ BE. It is much better, but I don't want to be missing something.
The PRISM and nSpire are looking more and more promising, though. P.S. The deal is, I already have a TI 84+ SE that I don't need. I would have to only pay half of the difference to upgrade, and my parents are chipping in. 445

So, because of a last minute confusion with back to school purchases, clothes shopping, supply buying, and generous grandparents, long story short, I have gotten the amazing and rare opportunity to get
ONE FREE CALCULATOR (spending at most 20 bucks) Courtesy of Staples. So, I now pass on the decision to those I trust most with a calculator - You, Omni. So, Omni, which Calculator should I get? I want good games and a good programming experience. 446

I think that sometimes it is almost worse if the thing you lost is returned. Think about it...
