Well, for pausing, you could have it clear the screen and display the word "PAUSED" or something like that, so the user can't see what's going on.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Sorry, I was just kind of in a hurry when I "read" that first post of yours. Looking back, it makes sense too. I probably should have read it hehe.
But yeah, that looks sweet. I'm way excited for this! 243

Hey I would love to see two things: a way to pause, and a way to get back to the main menu from within the game. Great game!

Very nice! And honestly, whenever I come up with cool graphic effects and stuff like that, 99% of the time it's completely by accident, and I meant to do something totally different.

Okay, I have a nice 4-scale menu screen up and running, but I'm on vacation right now, so I can't post any screenies yet.

Axe / Re: Axe TextBox input?« on: December 24, 2011, 03:18:52 pm »
Hm, I wrote an input routine, once... you called the routine like so - Input(r1,r2,r3) where r1,r2 was the X,Y coordinate of where the routine was to be located, and r3 was a flag - 1 meant it was a text input, and 0 meant it was a numeric input. It returned a pointer to the string, or the number that was inputted.

Is that a run indicator I see in the top right corner? also, I really like the character sprite, he makes me think of Mr Game and Watch.

Yeah, probably all you would need to do is to add some powerups, change some sprites and maps, and other stuff like menus and whatnot to mirror the original, and that's probably it.
