I voted yes, so long as they can be turned off (i.e. the screen does not depend on the backlight for visibility, not like on laptops).

This would make a cool SC2 feature! Even cooler if it supported different file types and sizes

epicness! With the Nspire's speed, perhaps some cool little graphical effects could be worked in?

Updated the OP with a new skeleton.zip. filesize() should be useful for level loaders and the like. apcalc, have you tested whether changing the Makefile works yet?

I really recommend adding external levels. It's really easy (all you do is use a function to read the file into an array) especially since we have directory listing functions now

Hmmm...Maxcoderz seems possible, seeing it is not completely dead yet. I really wish we could bring DS back, though, despite the unlikeliness of success. DS is a legendary place, the home of great software like MirageOS, PuzzPack, and Omnicalc. It's sad to see it fall into disuse

Yay! Power bug or not, I need to go play with this. The epicness is undescribable

Wifi is rather power intensive. I say if we do have Wifi, make it an optional add-on.

Yeah, I do hope I find coding time in college. Fortunately, the freshman year classes are all rather generic and fairly straightforward, and the homework seems pretty sparse (usually one problem set a week per class, and a problem set is only a few problems )

Yeah, I've been around since mid-2006, but I just started posting a couple years back.

@fb39ca4: How's the maze going? Just wondering... In case anyone else is wondering, this project is not dead. I'm moving off to college in a couple days, so things have been quite hectic, and I don't want to work on anything large for the next couple weeks. Maybe some smaller projects, but not the rather daunting task of converting the engine to fixed-point. Speaking of which, does anyone know a systematic way to convert code to fixed point (integer arithmetic)?

I'm all for using the full GNU Utils. Flash Memory is trivially cheap these days anyway, and the full utilities are so much more capable. And I forgot Linux can't run on FAT. Silly me ext3 it is then.
