Yay! Now I hope Ncaster can handle the map...the current algorithm doesn't handle mazes well; it was more intended for open areas with structures that extend upward.

Pokemon Red / Re: Pokemon Red« on: August 01, 2010, 01:22:05 am »
I have a shiny completed Blue version on my Nspire. Would that work? I think Blue and Red have the same data.
What do you need to know? 218

Lol, that would be one big picture of Rick Astley (4096x4096). It would be 8MB large.
Hey, that fits! Now if I only had a level editor... there's no way I'm going to manually enter 4096 tiles into a text file. 221
TI-Nspire / Re: Hmmm.....Nspire OS cheating?« on: July 31, 2010, 04:00:08 pm »
In theory, I think we can write an Ndless program to overwrite boot2 and TI's OS with our own. But then we'd need to insure a way to fall back to TI's OS in case of bugs.
We really should port a CAS to the Nspire. I was thinking of Eigenmath (written in C) or a Lisp-based system. But this is all in the future, after the Nspire has a standard library. It is nearly impossible to port software without one (I've only seen one or two large programs that don't use the standard library at all). 222

"Nspire" is supposed to be a play on the word "inspire", I think.

It's Nspire, not nSpire.
Sorry, I just had to point that out |
