I think he meant app support and that we should be able to build multi-page apps. Correct me if I misunderstand.

You mean like 1? Mimas is awesome, though I can't wait for what Mosaic might be.
Well, there's ChAsm, which is horribly unstable, and OTBP, which despite being pretty good is written almost entirely in BASIC (and takes up to a minute to compile very short programs).
That's why Mimas is a lifesaver.
Yeah, that's what I meant; Mimas is the only practical one. Another problem with the OTBP assembler is that it uses a lot of RAM... ztrumpet and Deep Thought, Mimas doesn't have App support. Yet.

hm? The computer program would generate a .8xk, just like TI's official ones. The theoretical on-calc program just reads the OS; it doesn't change it

It has binary compatibility and similar assembly syntax

I'm not entirely sure about that; I think even nested commands should be able to use macros. As for C, there are C compilers for z80, but, in short, they are not very efficient; z80 is not a good architecture for C.

I think you mean 12/21/12 * calcdude runs really fast

Yeah, I don't think any existing software can do this. To briefly outline the procedure, you'll need an ASM program that dumps each page of the OS into a 16KB appvar. Then those appvars need to be sent to a computer, and a program assembles them into a .8xk.

To be honest, Axe is pretty much a macro set You're practically programming in ASM.

They're horizontal, and on an 84+(SE) fill up the whole screen, but good enough

Yep, cheaper than the Nspire at $129.99 USD

Weird; in middle school, several years ago, I expected that eventually we'd have full-color calculators by high school, and, not out of high school, we have them! Depending on whether the thing will have 3rd-party ASM/C dev abilities, I might highly consider getting one, no regrets. Of course, if I do, I'll be getting the non-American version. (This is due to the picture issue mentioned above.)

We'll need way, way over 9001 42 computers to get it in a reasonable amount of time Edit: Assuming Deep Thought's number is right, of course.

Yeah. It was auto-firing, and I managed to press Print Screen just as it hit 66600 (or rather, )
