The OS typically doesn't detect something. It literally crashes.
Any unclean start-up will cause the RAM reset sequence. 500

Well, to my knowledge, your code starts executing at $0000 or $0056 (after the boot code jumps to it)

It would actually be decently faster (at least twice as much). You'd only be drawing the sprite once, instead of however many times are needed to use only OR and XOR.

BASIC-wise, yes. Whenever we get Ndless working on 3.0, assembly probably won't. Different hardware and everything (the color screen)
