I have created an Omnimaga theme for Firefox. The two image dimensions must be exactly 3000x200 and 3000x100 for themes, so I did the best I could do using the sites current background image. I have to admit - it actually looks pretty cool! Included is a screenshot of it in my browser, then with all toolbars enabled. If you have a Mozilla account, please leave a good review!
Masking Agent helps to prevent new "cookie-less tracking services." Set your OS/CPU to something common.
Set a limit to your cache (Firefox settings>Advanced) to the recommended size.
Under privacy in Firefox settings, enable a "Do Not Track" request, enable a custom history plan, and select the data that you wish to clear on browsing exit (make sure you allow this before doing so)
Use a Master Password for passwords, or more preferably, disallow the saving of all passwords
For optional security (may slow browsing down), check out HideMyAss's Proxy list (may be blocked by parental filters), and select a proxy that uses HTTPS, has high speeds, and has a high security level, then apply it to Firefox under advanced network settings
Browsing should be just about as fast, and beyond using a VPN, you are as anonymous as you can be.
MaskMe is a great extension- I have no spam. @bb010g: There appears to be an error in the site you linked to. Is this extension on the Mozilla "web store?"
@Eeems: enable pipelining, and disable the extension blocklisting (search blocklist). Adobe has been having some problems with the so called "Flash Update," so Firefox currently requires you to allow flash before loading a plugin.
@Legimet: I would put Firefox... @DJ Omnimaga: Opera has been growing fast (it is one of the 5 major browsers). I installed it once... It is pretty and its new tab page is nice, but I don't use it due to speed. @Firefox users: Install FasterFox, AdBlock Plus, and Ghostery. Launch about:config and enable pipelining. I guarantee you that nothing is faster than your browser now.
