Hmm weird. Have you found any more info on this?

No sorry. As the device was lent to me by TI, I cannot dismantle it...

News / Re: ASM to arrive on TI-80 ROM 4.0 soon?
« on: October 13, 2011, 05:18:06 pm »
Assembly on the TI-80 isn't publicly available yet...

But the 1st TI-80 emulator has just been released, meaning that starting from today, all TI graphing calculator models have a matching emulator!!! :)
It's a great day! :):)

Only the 4.0 ROM is supported yet. Of course it's not included, and you'll have to get it someway...

News / Re: Lua contest extended and the revival of zContest
« on: October 09, 2011, 09:41:27 am »
I wonder if a CX license would work with a non CX calc setup for TI's Student Software... I need a license badly :(
If it does, I might make a markup language that compiles to Lua code, and submit a game made with that.

Some licence numbers don't work for older Nspire software versions, as the number format has changed over the years.

But it's hard to test without *using* the licence number, which is out of question here :P

Good news for the TI-Nspire Lua contest!

We're adding 3 prizes for the 2nd best program in each category - 3 TI-Nspire CAS perpetual licences.

Other Calculators / The new TI-36X Pro / 30X Pro MultiView bug
« on: October 06, 2011, 08:48:52 pm »
The TI-30X Pro MultiView introduced in september 2010 in Europe was withdrawn in october 2010 as it was giving wrong results.

Reintroduced in may 2011, it was strangely renamed TI-36X Pro in America.

A new bug with wrong results has been discovered, affecting both models:

Hi again Omnimaga!

Have you tried installing the dictionnary on a non-chinese TI-Nspire CX ?

I've tried it for you:

Quite strange.

The TI-Nspire ViewScreen has 2 USB connectors: USB(A) & USB(B).
And if plugged on a computer, it is detected as a "TI-84 Plus Presentation Link"...

Any idea?...

Other Calculators / Re: Difference of TI-76fr and TI-83+
« on: October 01, 2011, 04:11:12 pm »
Like the TI-82 Stats.fr, the TI-76.fr is using a TI-73/83+-like PCB.

But the highest address pin of the 512Kb Flash-ROM is grounded: so you've only got 256Kb instead of 512Kb.

In theory, you could flash a TI-83+ OS.

But it's running a TI-83-like OS, and the Boot Code shortcut doesn't work, even after connecting the highest address pin.
Meaning that there is no software way (in theory) to write to the Flash-ROM.

it looks like it contains a SSH server, so you should be able to SSH into it.

And I should be able to try this ;)

Other Calculators / Nspire 3.0.1 to 3.1.0: the surviving bug
« on: September 30, 2011, 07:29:15 pm »
Nspire OS 3.0.1 was not only destroying calculators, which was the main fact reported here.

You might be less interested, but it was also giving wrong mathematical results in some situations, when 2.1.1 and older OSes had no problem.

All reported bugs seemed to have been fixed in the 3.0.2 OS.

But a new situation giving a wrong mathematical result has been found out on TI-Planet by Spirikoi. And of course, as it was not reported before, all 3.X OSes are affected: 3.0.1, 3.0.2 and the newest 3.1.0.

Check it out on TI-Planet:

Episode 6: the TI-Nspire Navigator Access Point flashable firmware

Yes, the TI-Nspire Navigator Access Point firmware can be updated.

And the firmware seems to be built on a Linux OS.

Check at my evidence and download the firmware legally here:
