Other Calculators / Re: T4x asm documentation

I've got a Ti-34 multiview and I've always wanted to hack it, or find a hidden menu or something.

I've allready digged into those ROMs, but I couldn't find any string related to a hidden self test menu or something like that.

Thanks :)
I've been looking for it for months...

It might be usefull to get the T4x asm tools mentionned in the documentation.
But Google doesn't seem to know these files...

Not yet, but if someone takes the time to work on that document and on the calculator ROM dumps (which can be extracted from the official emulators with my tool linked in the TI-Bank news), it might be the case soon.

Finally, I managed to get my hands on a consequent T4x asm documentation.

The 4-bit T4x CPU from Toshiba is used in all recent TI scientific calculators:
- TI-30XB/XS MultiView
- TI-30X Pro MultiView
- TI-34 MultiView
- TI-36X Pro

Check on TI-Bank:

Why don't you switch your TI-Nspire 3.0/CX calculator with one of those? Their hardware is much more open, and I'm sure there is nor RSA key securing it! :P

News / Re: More free space on your Nspire with TNOC
« on: July 17, 2011, 09:10:06 am »
Great news!

TNOC still works with the CX OS files (tcc/tco).

You can spare up to 2.5Mb by removing the boot2 and the samples. :)

Note it could be usefull too to prevent some future boot2 upgrade! ;)

News / Re: OS 3.0.2 downgrade now possible with DowngradeFix
« on: July 10, 2011, 01:00:28 pm »
The french "OS 3.0.2 downgrade" tutorial is out.

If you're running OS 3.0.2 with Boot2 1.4, you just need to use DowngradeFix.

If not, you'll have to downgrade your Boot2 first in order to be able to use DowgradeFix, and this won't be as easy...

Other Calculators / Re: [Contest] Great TI-Nspire Lua Contest 2011
« on: July 03, 2011, 02:16:23 pm »
Well, for the Omnimaga contest, you cannot upload tns files or entire source code of your project before August 15th, unfortunately, but you can post screenshots. I guess this is not a big problem, however, since after Omnimaga contest ends you can start posting downloads of it as you wish, and the TI-BANK contest ends several weeks after ours.

Note that Lua programs which should compete in the mathematics or physics & chemistry categories can be submitted immediatly.

Only Lua games allready competing in the Omnimaga contest should be submitted after the 15th august.

I've resaved the oclua.tns file with the 3.0.1 software.
http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=voir&id=3606

So now, everybody with an OS/software 3.0.1, 3.0.2 or above should be able to use Oclua directly. :)

A little photo for you, after gathering all the material, and before the disaster...

Yes, Lua programs submitted to the Omnimaga contest can be submitted to the Lua contest too.

Except for their names and screenshots, submitted programs aren't published by us till the end of the contest (unless their authors publish them themsleves).

So I don't think that submitting such programs to the Lua contest before august 15th does violate any Omnimaga contest rule.
But it's up to you ;)

« on: July 01, 2011, 09:51:33 am »
TI-Bank and Inspired-Lua team up to launch a great Lua programming contest this summer, with 3 TI-Nspire CX CAS! ;D

You can all take part in the contest, wherever you live.
Your program only has to be usable by french-speaking people. This might be easier for game programs, as some of them simply have no text.

Your TI-Nspire CX CAS will be shipped to your address, with tracking and insurance.

There are 3 categories for the programs:
- mathematics
- physics and chemistry
- games

Programs have to be submitted before the 30th september 2011 23h59 GMT+2 (France summer time).

In each category, the best program author wins a TI-Nspire CX CAS.

You can only submit one program, so you can only take part in one category. Choose well...

TI-Bank news:
http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=news&ac=commentaires&id=1230

You can submit programs created prior to the contest. They just have to be your own programs.

You can allways update an allready submitted program, or change the program or category by sending a new email to [email protected]. Only the last email with the attached program will be taken into account for the contest.

Good Luck! ;)
