2 days later... TI has just removed the TI-Nspire 3.0 softwares too:

The latest downloadable TI-Nspire software is back to 2.1.

There has been other reports of bricked TI-Nspire all around the web on very various sites.

You can even find some on sites like Yahoo Answers for example...

Something like 15 bricked calculators reported online up to now to my knowledge.

General Calculator Help / Re: Downgrade nSpires boot2 via serial?

Yes, you reset your Nspire while pressing Home+Enter+B, and then send the boot2.img file in Xmodem, as described here:

Once Ndless works on OS 3.0...

You've found a way?

At last, TI has removed the dangerous 3.0 OS from its server. (we had to fight for a full week for that... they didn't want to believe: we were lying, we were responsible for this by using Ndless/TNOC...)

For the non-CX Nspire, the downloadable OSes are back to 2.1.

Well, I hardly tested the CAS OS on the emulator at all :)
Let me check.

Did it work?

The building blocks, derived from the tiosmod+amspatch building blocks, are at http://tict.ticalc.org/beta/phoenixmod-0.0.1.zip . Untested.

404 error for me...

Even on the emulator?

By the way... why isn't a compatible Ndless build available at the "official" link?

I can check the IRC logs to find the link if you want.

I would really appreciate it ^^

I used the pre-build ndless b387 and the pre-built OSLauncher.... All I get is short lines on the screen. Is your Nspire a non-cas touchpad (v2) or clickpad?

Just tried 5 times to run the 2.1CAS OS from the 2.1 basic OS.
All I get is short lines on the screen too.

Broom's build of ndless is the problem. Can you compile it yourself?

So, you mean http://builds.issrs.biz/ndless/latest/ndless.zip is not a "good" build?

A converter is necessary because there is a difference in voltage levels.

The Nspire is using TTL.
So you should get a USB<->TTL converter. That's the simplest way.

If you still have a DB9 plug, you can use a RS232<->TTL converter, but you'll need an additional connection to power it.
If not, you can still use it by chaining it with a USB<->RS232 converter.
