I'd be interested in it, too, if you decided you didnt want it and there were some way to program it (in assembly). Northern_snow: where did you get 350元 from? It looks like it's 450元.

I didn't know there were any Chinese calculator forums :D

EDIT: Btw, who's zhengran14? Is it someone from here?
Oh yes it's 450 yuan. And zhengran14 is just a junior high school student in shanghai.
OS 3.0.0.1045
Boot 1 & Boot 2 3.0.0

Mine has OS 3.0.0.0.

So 3.0.0.1045 is very interesting.
Who buys it? ;)

And I want to ask Critor if the prototype one can install ndless?
Unless the Nspire Color prototype is running OS 3.1.0.392 (certainly signed with the prototype keys), nope.
OHHHH NOOOOOO that's an OS. 3.0 one...

Do you have the exact version number?

You won't be able to install production OS 3.1.0 and won't be able to install Ndless 3.1.

But, you'll be able to install development OS 3.1 which might have the same exploit - Ndless could be ported to thoses OSes. Note that I don't have any 3.1 development build.

The same exploit used with OS 3.0.1 to dump the Boot1 is present in OS 3.0.0.
It might be used to port Ndless - interest in this exploit dropped allmost immediately as it was fixed in OS 3.0.2.

Although I haven't had the time to news about it, unlike production CX/CM my Nspire Color prototype has an external Flash NOR chip.
But it's a completely different chip than the ClickPad one.

So I don't know if it is flashable, and if it is it will require a specific asm program.

If you buy it, I'll be interested into sharing some dumping tools with you ;)

DJ_O, I don't have such information.

If it was allready decided, we would allready have newsed about this - and you should know TI-Planet is a reliable source.

And by the way, I never trust TI-Cares answers for such questions. They're most of the time either incomplete, either incorrect, either inappropriate (copy/paste), either inexistant.
I would never make a news based on what TI-Cares could answer.

TI-Nspire / Re: nSpiKx - TI-nSpire emulator for Mac os x (Cocoa)

other than mentioning that it appears that Nspire_emu updates (if any) are no longer posted in public until every competitor that make use of its code becomes open-source.

Might be a good idea.

The next update includes TI-Nspire CAS+ support and XModem support, thus a more complete support of Boot1/Boot2 boot combos.

News / TI-84 Plus C: new photos reveal more than 3MB archive space
« on: November 13, 2012, 03:56:03 pm »
Today on #omnimaga, Vijfhoek has released some huge photos about the new TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition.

You can count the screen pixels and you'll find out that it is 320x240 like on the TI-Nspire:

Another great information comes from the memory manager screen:

The free RAM space of 22792B seems normal, but...
Look at that free space of 3293KB for the archive memory! Yes, more than 3.2MB archive space, meaning more than twice the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition arvchive space (1.5MB)! ;D
The 2MB TI-84 Plus Silver Edition Flash ROM chip has probably been increased here to at least 4MB.

Note that according to this menu, you can store images in your calculator. They are merged with screen captures (Pic0-9 variables).

Yes, here is the latest news:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=10728

Boot1 3.0.0 and Boot2 3.0.0!

OS 3.0.0.0 or 3.0.0.devbuild:

Although the version is 3.0.0.0, the OS seems very similar with the released 3.0.1.

But, Boot1 and Boot2 are much more surprising... Watch it booting:

We allready tried with his email last year, no answer - neither for me, nor for datamath.org.

But he accepted my add request on LinkedIn some days ago.

Like the TI-Nspire+, it's a loan from datamath.org.

And that's because I'm missing time, that I allmost didn't news on Omnimaga in October.

Interesting. Would it be possible that they put the hardware of this model in the new color 84+ SE?

It's perfectly possible

And as it is an EVT prototype (2nd stage among 5 in TI-Nspire CX development) it might have significant hardware differences compared to production TI-Nspire CX.
Those differences are interesting as they help us figuring out dropped functionnalites, or functionnalities delayed/moved to another future model. ;)

Many TI-Nspire ClickPad and TI-Nspire+/CAS+ prototypes have been freely given by TI to students, teachers or engineers for beta-testing for years.

This became a problem when some testers tried to resale their prototypes on online shops, as they could easily be mistaken for production models, although they had early versions of the OS and couldn't be easily upgraded.

It seems the beta-testing of TI-Nspire TouchPad or TI-Nspire CX went different, as the same problem didn't happen.

But anyway, here is it finally - discover our first TI-Nsprie color prototype, the TI-Nspire Color, an EVT (Early Validation Tests) prototype of the non-CAS TI-Nspire CX:

Expect great discoveries soon, and why not some hints on the TI-84 Plus C, the future color version of the TI-84 Plus, as something happened at that time: non-CAS TI-Nspire CX dropped the TI-84 Plus emulator support, although the TI-84 Plus ROM remained available in the 3.0.1 non-CAS CX OS.

2nd news about the TI-Nspire+ OS:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=10680#p131777

Version is 1.0.1.0.347T:

And strangely, it was flashed with a CAS+ OS:

Did you find the TI-Nspire CAS+ P1-EVT2 slow with 1min30s to turn it on?
The TI-Nspire+ P3-EVT2 is clearly worse! :P

Let's make some TI-Nspire+/Nspire CAS+ race! ;)

I've now made my first news about the TI-Nspire+:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=10675

I'm going to make other news focusing on its software and on its hardware.
So maybe, instead of newsing several times in a row about it, I'll just news on Omnimaga later.
But you are free to news about it if you think it's important. ;)
