It's a bug related to the Nspire OS and/or Ndless.

It was allready present in Ndless 2.0.

There are several doors around that room.
Just use "shift" to open them.

If you're older than 9, you can now play Chex Quest on nDoom! ;)

I couldn't find an original Quake mod IWAD file for Doom/DoomII engine.

Is this bug random?
Does it allways happen at a specific place? Which game/map?

Thanks.

News / mViewer CX Edition, the color BMP image reader is here!
« on: January 22, 2012, 07:48:42 pm »
Cross-posted from TI-Planet: http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8707

I've just released mViewer CX Edition 1.0, the color BMP image reader for TI-Nspire CX.
Note that grayscale support is broken for now: it won't work on older Nspire - just use the stable classic mViewer in that case.

The Nspire OS let you view images... But mViewer let you do much more than that:
- view images larger than the screen
- zoom in/out in the images
- scroll in the images
- intuitive scroll with the touchpad

Any document can now be converted and viewed in color on your Nspire CX:

For documents which don't include photos, you should convert to 8-bits BMP (256 colors) with an RLE compression. This will be enough and will save you much space.

For photos, you should prefer 16-bits BMP (65536 colors) IN R5G6B5. Don't use more than that: it will be displayed but it's a waste of space as the Nspire CX screen won't follow.

You can also play quake with nDoom, but the graphics/engine are the same as doom.

It's doom mod, that's why it worked for nDoom. There I found more mods :), but not all works.

Yes, the mods have to be full independant IWAD files and not additional PWAD files which aren't supported yet.

Thank you very much for the link. I've added the following on TI-Planet:
http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=8704#p120060

Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders

Quake II

Duke Nukem 3D

HacX

I also tried Half Life and Doom 64, but they didn't work.

Other interesting/working mods I may have missed on your page?

Thanks again.

I had tested Heretic and it didn't work.

So I had assumed every more recent non-Doom IWAD wouldn't work either.

Great news, thanks! :)

General Calculator Help / Re: Nspire CX CAS got sick after Ndless 3
« on: January 20, 2012, 03:16:37 pm »
Yes I do confirm that I've had this bug on CX even without using Ndless.

Removing the battery was the only way for me to skip the "gray" screen.

I also just noticed that I can't run on my CX CAS.
But overall a very nice experience :)

If pressing the touchpad does not work, there is another way by holding trig or = keys.
