Nice!

As it's in TI-Basic, does it work on a basic TI-83 too?

Hi people!

I've published a first test of the TI-Nspire LabStation Cradle.

Even if you don't understand french, there are many photos that might interest you.

I'll publish a more hardware-oriented test later.

Today, let's calculate a resistance with 2 sensors: potential and current, as there is no resistance sensor for our calculators. The Lua program does even represent the resistance with its color code (thanks to Nick).

which program did you use for that 3d rendering? xp

Sorry, there is no 3d.
It's just a compass image with a Lua drawLine() on it.

Yes they need the Vernier sensors.

The temperature sensor can be found with a mini-USB plus and is not very epensive.

But the magnetic sensors for the compass are quite expensive, and you need 2 of them.
Moreover, they have a proprietary plug, meaning that you have to get either the TI-Nspire LabStation Cradle, either the Vernier Easy Link to plug them on your Nspire.

The LabStation is allmost as exensive as a TI-Nspire, which seems normal when we know that it does include a modified TI-Nspire motherboard.

As a demo, we began by developping a thermometer application:

But then we ended by developping a compass application:

Soon, an application for everything on the TI-Nspire! :P

Calculator C / Re: Hide documents on TI-Nspire [Ndless]
« on: December 27, 2011, 04:35:12 am »
IMO, Ndless shouldn't switch to grayscale mode at all. Old pre-CX programs won't work on the CX without a rebuild anyway, so there's no backward compatibility reason to do so. I expect most CX programmers will want to use color when available.

You're right after all, I don't know why I am sticking with this idea.

Switching to 4-bits indexed Grayscale is a good idea.

No it cannot make old Ndless programs work without a recompilation...

But it can make them work with a recompilation and without any modification to the original source code.

News crossposted from TI-Planet: http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8583

Up to now, nDoom let you play Doom Shareware version which included the 1st episode with 9 maps including a hidden map.

Doom, episode 1, end of the last map

So let's now have a look at the following image:

The backround is not the same. This image doesn't belong to the previous game...

Yes indeed! This image comes from the end of Doom II - Hell on Earth level 1... Yes, nDoom lets you now launch the different official Doom games. You just have to get the matching WAD file.

Are supported 6 different Doom games, including nothing less that 7 Hells for your greatest pleasure! :D
- Doom Shareware, which includes episode 1
- Doom Registered, which adds episodes 2 and 3
- Ultimate Doom, which adds a 4th episode
- Doom II: Hell on Earth
- Final Doom: TNT Evilution
- Final Doom: The Plutonia Experiment

Each game is now using a separate savestate file, which lets you save your progress at each game, and resume it whenever you want, even after playing a different Doom game! :)

Hours of fun are coming to your TI-Nspire CX!

This is my 1st news as a newser on Omnimaga. Please tell me if I should make my next news in a different way.

They will soon be added to the archives ot omnimaga, ticalc and tibank (maybe tiplanet too?)

Why not tiplanet?...

Nice try. Custom Doom wads aren't supported yet. ;)

Simply because there are some options that have to be set/unset depending on the wad content, and that I cannot guess them for custom wads yet.

But you're not far from the truth! ;)
