TI-Nspire / Re: Rush Hour

Thank you! They are a bit messy, but I'll take care of converting them and finishing up all 60 levels! Thank you Jonius7.

Btw, saving has been implemented, but have not had opportunity to test because nspire_emu and Student Software both hate me right now.  D:

TI-Nspire / Misc Nspire Lua Projects
« on: February 27, 2012, 09:02:00 pm »
While working on Rush Hour, I have developed a variety of miscellaneous/semi-useful games and utilities in Lua for the Nspire. Here you go:

Flashlight

Designed mainly for those with a CX (I don't believe touchpads or clickpads have backlights), this flashlight features a blank LCD! But can also transform into different colors and contains a strobe function! Try holding random color while doing strobe. IT'S CRAZY! I don't know if this would damage your screen. :P

Controls-
 0-9 - Choose color
 Tab - Random Color
 Enter - Toggle Strobe

Mempi

This is based off of the 84 application that allows you to memorize digits of pi on the go. Contains 1000 digits of pi for your memorizing pleasure. However, as a bonus three other irrational numbers were included with 1000 digits, being e, root2, and phi.

Controls-
 0-9 - Input numbers
 Enter - Restart
 Tab - Switch irrational number

Strategy Steps

Taken from a minigame on Wii Party, it has to be the cream of the crop of minigames. Although less fun in singleplayer, you choose either 1,3, or 5 to go the amount of steps. The catch is that if someone else chooses that same number, neither of you can go. First to reach the end wins!

Controls-
1,3,5 - Choose how many steps
 Enter - Hide/Reveal Signs
 Tab - Restart

Source is included.
Sorry, no screenies. Student Software decided to screw me this time.

Suggestions welcome!
Hope you enjoy these three somewhat useful/fun programs!

I think there already is a version for the 84, but I'm not sure what language it's from. That was where I got the inspiration to write this version.

I'm not sure how many more levels I'm going to add, but the levels would be nice. My cell phone has over 6000 levels. There is a limit where you do not want the user to be so overwhelmed by the amount of levels they need to complete that they stop playing. Additionally, rotating and mirroring levels seems a little cheap, no?  ;)

If you want to build your own clone for educational purposes or an Axe clone, go ahead!  :)

Chip's Challenge for Ti-Nspire / Re: Chips Challenge for TI-Nspire

Uh yeah, that's pretty off topic...

But anyways - cyanophycean was a SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee Spell Bowl word that one girl missed maybe three or four years back. She mispelled it cyanophytion or something. Anyways, I like that word. 314 does stand for pi. Now you know.

Oh yeah, cyanophycean means blue green algae

And there's the kids who make fun of you for having a graphing calculator...
Seriously, most of the kids in my school (in 7th grade :P) don't know what a graphing calculator is. They call it a "nerd calculator". :( Also, at least 10 times a day, kids ask me these exact questions:
"Are you playing games on that?"
"Can you play pacman on that?"
"Can you text with that?"
"Can you get on the internet with that?"
"How much did that calculator cost?"

Yup. Exactly. The. Same. Questions.

They usually ask about Mario and Pokemon for me. Especially on the Nspire CX. But otherwise, the EXACT same questions. It's unnerving... :P

So I make a lil money sending little math programs and games.
I don't charge any money for transfer of games, but I could make quite a bit. I am the transferer, giver of games, eradicator of ennui in my class.  ;)

TI-BASIC / Re: Graphing in Ti-nSpire Basic?
« on: February 22, 2012, 09:34:54 pm »
What exactly did it have to do with graphing?
Inequalities?
Conics?

Try to explain what graphing program it is and what it does, even if it's kinda hard to explain. Just give us something more specific than graphing.  ;)

If you're trying a Lua version of whatever it is, I could help.  :)

Calc to calc transfer would be nice, but probably difficult. At least now people won't annoy me too much about it!  ;)

D: There's already a clone... I should check TI Planet for duplicates, but I don't really know french...

Wow, I just checked TI Planet, there are so many programs for the Nspire! I need to go through those...

But anyways, here is a first playable version with 51 levels (I lied previously). The last 9 are dummy levels, but I'll fill them in.

To do:
 -Sprites!
 -Level Editor!

Two Screenies

Enjoy!

This is a pretty interesting improvement, but I'm not sure if I'll use it. :P

Does this mean you can actually get a clock on the Nspire? That would actually be pretty useful.

Great job to ExtendeD once again!

Is it possible to have calc to calc transfer of ndless? I noticed there was a section for that on the user guide, but then it disappeared...
