Very good job, jimbauwens! If you finished you probably would've done very well.  :)

If you press the enter key or the arrows, it throws an error for me. You have to use the mouse.

 :ninja: by 24 seconds.

The controls are very difficult to put onto the Nspire in a way that feels nice. Geometry Wars performed it well on the 84, but Lua can't do that stuff (multiple keypresses, pressing and holding). I am considering balancing some of the moving values to make it feel more natural.

Thanks!  :)

I tried the game and it's very nice :)
A suggestion: what about keeping the player moving, like in asteroids ? That might make it more fun.
Also, I think the AI get's too smart too fast .. but that might be fun :D
Thanks! The Asteroids idea is actually very good... Maybe I'll throw in a few asteroids too! :D Probably will add a shop of some sort.

As for the AI, the speed increases logarithmically with the level... There are only two types of AI. The red will head directly to you, while the green will stay on the X and Y axis and chase you.

This game has some inspiration from Geometry Wars, which I first played on my TI 84.

the bombs are cool :) but it seems like the first time it did not decrease when you fired one, or am i wrong?

I chose a bad time to use my bomb, because at every level 5,15,25, you get a free bomb.  :P So I got a bomb right after I used it.

I've now tested all the Nspire ones.  :) All interesting and valiant efforts.

California is GMT -8 so you'll have to turn it in by 10:00 PM California time. Good luck!  :)

Yay for a last minute procrastination entry into the contest! I worked on this concept when the contest was announced, nailing down the basics of the game, but most of the work I did today!  :D The main purpose for this entry is that I have completed the goal of entering a contest even if I don't win. Hopefully participation will give me motivation in later times.

More modifications/improvement of the game will be implemented after the contest. This is probably the best of the three (unreleased) shooting games I have made.  :)

Oh yeah, if I need to mention it, the AI is the enemies.  :P

P.S. The title is based of a Wii homebrew game "They Do Not Die." My brother and I came up with it.  :)

Lua / Re: Transferring Lua Projects from Calc to Computer [Solved]

Yes I have done that, but because Jim Bauwen's XML2Lua no longer will convert, I cannot get the source. I think the XML file is a bit weird because last time I could open the XML file with Internet Explorer and because it starts out with something weird.  ???

I have taken the time to hand type one of the sources into the computer, but for future contests and possibly bigger files, I'd still like a way to do it without TINCS.

Hehe, I can see the download count still at 0 :P

That was very funny. Hellninjas was caught red-handed.  :P

I'm having some problems with the XML file. It won't even display as before in Internet Explorer. Now the XML2Lua thing doesn't give me any output either.

The XML is attached for possible debugging.
