TI has good reasons for locking it down, and I understand the feeling, though I personally love TI.
I have fixed many a broken wii and gamecube

So my trick doesn't work on CX CAS's.. my friend taught me it for opening Gamecubes, Yamashita.

I am trying to get my permit and using nTxt is dangerous to read files, and my PDF to text converter of choice isn't perfect. So, this project would be amazing

aeTIos, indeed I did JUST get it, but in my experience, the only way to corrupt anything that CANNOT be fixed, such as boot code, is by RUNNING said boot code at wayy too fast

So is archive manipulation ever going to be fixed?
Btw, running the emulator in superfast mode (e.g. a dangerous AHB setting, like 75... or 85 in my case ![]() 354

By the time the next amazing model comes out (Nspire II, if you will), there will be no interest in porting the OS's of choice of today. New ones will arrive.
Mac OS X has been taken apart enough to run on Hackintoshes. So I figured... Android would be possible. But anyways, how do I pan to the other end of the screen? The controls are cut off and some folders I open in Mac 7 aren't fully shown 355

AlexisVieira, the best I can tell you is to read everything you can and learn enough to figure it out as you go along.
Ultimately, that's how great computer programmers are born in today's society. LinksII/LynksII is a graphical version of Links that is my favorite lightweight browser. 356

pimathbrainiac, indeed they are. That doesn't mean I can just emulate the screen and hope the CPU understands Genesis code.
Theoretically, a TI89 could emulate a Genesis that has been converted to greyscale. The Genesis uses the z80 for a little bit of real-time processing, but mostly when it boots. The z80 takes over and loads the ROM into memory and basically "does it's thang" for a moment, then the m68k takes control again and does most of the game itself. 358

I'm sorry but if I can boot Debian ARM and even an old version of Ubuntu (of which both are possible) on an Nspire, Mac OSX 10 is possible.
The screen is weird, it cuts off. 359

Well, a simulator would require a LOT more maintenance because of the vast differences between many games. This will not emulate sound, but the rest of the hardware will be emulated. The CD will require a BIOS, so yeah. A simulator may be a better choice, though...
