Ummmm I just got my CX CAS
When I run the emu (which is named calcemu on my calc. I have a file named rom.tns in the directory where calcemu is. It shows up as rom) I just get a little sprite of a chicken and when I press menu it moves down 8 pixels. Then, I press buttons and I end up in an RPG for calcs. WUT 423

So I got my new calculator today and read the back of the packaging when I noticed a very disconcerting tidbit of information provided by TI.
This calculator was manufactured a week ago at most, and the packaging is updated to have the CSE displayed as a model for comparison between calcs. Somebody tell me why the TI-84+SE is listed as only having 480 Kb ROM? Image is attached to post, if this becomes big, moderator can just edit the post to include the image. 426
TI-Nspire / Re: Calling all Linux Kernel developers!« on: April 05, 2013, 06:38:56 pm »
I recommend naming this flavor of Linux "TangriNe"
![]() I am trying this today on my new CX CAS On a scale of Ubuntu to "barebones core with no hardware drivers or configurations", how user friendly is this Linux port? 427

I actually looked that thing up awhile back and almost made one because my Dad was interested lol.
Yeah, most of the work done in this case will have to be done by the Arduino board/modified video card 433

What are Nspires going for? CX CAS I mean.
Btw, I'd delete this topic, I just got a job and found out about how to get the money I need without selling my precious calc. Thanks anyway, I'll sell it someday lol 434

Other / Re: Your 83+'s display is too small?« on: April 04, 2013, 10:10:11 am »For any advanced color display (be it VGA or the the Sharp screen I posted) you need an extremely fast MCU to refresh the screen all along. You would need a graphics chip to handle this, even the arduino due (which finally works with the display! I will post the library later) wouldn't be fast enough too get a decent picture. The Sharp screen came with a graphics card which outputs Digital or VGA, I just don't know how to use it (it's 20 years old I have an old monitor with similar specs. Maybe we should hang out and find some tools, a few hours later, Omnimaga would be wowed again xD |
