I've never taken it apart
![]() So, yes, it is factory sealed and well cleaned (I got it from a friend who had it firty) with a painstakingly well taken care of LCD screen. It's quite fancy. It clocks at 15.0016 Mhz, which is slightly higher than normal if that makes you feel better, and the USB port has experienced almost negligible wear-down. Of course, it being my only 84+SE, I'd send an adapter (and I suppose my flash drive filled with TONS of calc stuff on it) that is HARD to find online for less than 30 dollars. ![]() 453

Is there a program to find the palindrome of a number?
I love writing BASIC programs for things like this or for other functions ![]() 454

Sorry!
This offer has been closed due to refinancing situations which have provided me with the money I need without selling my precious calculator! Original post: Wanna buy a TI84+SE with 128k RAM from me for $120? You came to the right place! My price is fair, considering the special nature of the device you are buying. The device is always clean as a whistle, and has experienced very little wear down on the keys. The case is a bit worn (it's an old calculator suffering from daily use) and the USB port isn't as snug as brand new models. However, if anybody takes this offer, both of those little defects will be attended to. ![]() LCD screen has nary a scratch on it, and all I need to make it look brand new is a Qtip. The whole outside casing was once defaced by the careless pencil smudges of another math enthusiast (Yes, this calculator has been owned before me.) but that has been cleaned. The faceplate has only been removed once since the factory release. I have never unscrewed the calculator at all, and the previous owner knew nothing about gaming on calculators so he obviously didn't either. It is NOT factory sealed inside it's packaging, but it has not been "tampered" with. BEST PART OF DEAL! The calculator comes with an unreleased version of MSD8x and USB8x and a version of MSD8x (renamed MSD8y) that can read .txt files from the calculator off a USB stick! That's right, that 30 dollar adapter nobody can find online? This sale comes with one for free. Transfer 1 page applications on the go, as well as any other OS variable. PERFECT for trips! To purchase, please PM me with your address and any shipping information you would need to order on eBay (this offer is hosted personally.) and I will respond with information on when you can expect your TI 84+ SE ![]() $120 + Shipping + Handling (+ Tax). 455

Well I'm a z80 "expert" in that I know it well, and I have become accustomed to it.
I'll study the 68k, but this project will probably be officially "started" in about 2 weeks, when I"m no longer busy at all. Unless somebody is already doing it? Or maybe I should start with a simple Rubix Cube project 459

News / Re: Welcome on TI-Planet!« on: April 01, 2013, 06:58:29 pm »I am quite disappointed with the name change and background. I strongly believe that we should be called prizmPlanet. That is the direction the community will be going for the next few years. I'm pretty sure the Nspire is where it's at right now. The Prizm may take over, in which case Omnimaga would be a GREAT name, because Omni means all. All calculator models are welcomed here! ![]() 461

Which makes this project even more of a possibility. I have people here who can help if I ever run into a major problem.

Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Re: Calculator Programs/Games Ideas/Requests - Inspiration« on: April 01, 2013, 05:45:04 pm »How about a new calcnet game? The sega genesis had both a 7Mhz 68000 CPU and a 3,6Mhz z80 coprocessor (if I recal the cpu speeds correctly.) I think it's more difficult to emulate two CPU clocked at different speeds. I think they communicate asynchonously, so the emulator has to be multithreaded, yet the threads have to be able to swap out information asynchronously. If the timing is not right this can lead to inaccurate emulation. I just noticed that it has a Z80 at 3.8 Mhz and a 68k at 7.6 Mhz. The Z80 looks clocked at about 1/2 the 68k, maybe a bit less, and I just find it funny that it's CPU's are both the types used in Ti calcs today ![]() yeah it's doable, dude. 463

So, fortytwo, I just have to be an experienced Nspire and Linux user to be able to set up my Nspire to use Linux as I prefer?

I hope that my newbishness is at least enough to revive old projects that I ask about
![]() I'm posting this topic both at Cemetech and Omnimaga, because there are members of either site that don't go to the other very often. I've been looking at Linux for the Nspire, and I am wondering about taking the project further. Specifically, I have a couple questions. Why can't an external storage device be used as the entire filesystem, including the boot code, like it was done on the Wii? What would it take to implement USB storage so one could theoretically install more drivers and upgrade to have Linux as a completely usable OS rather than a "thought"? 465

I wonder why such a picture with a cutoff would even exist if it wasn't for a fake created by somebody. The ink is the right size. The text just, for whatever reason, cuts off at the right side. It has room! Just, the sleek nature of the casing makes it.. weird.
