i think they look great, i especially like the axe with it being 'cliped' but still perfectly understandable. the helmet, staff, ring and armor are a little hard to figure out if you dont know what your looking for, but this will only pose a problem for the first time people see these icons. and if there is text next to it, it would not be a problem at all. since each icon is unique, its not hard to differentiate either. why are genji gloves a ring?

i knew it went down on IRC, people just dont seem to know how to act on that. i know cemetech was having problems with people on IRC as well. hope you feel better Kev. Also i want to make one thing clear. you frequently almost leave from our community here because of one reason or another, often people are inconsiterate but htats not the point. If dealing with us and our community here adds to the problems you have elsewhere, i for one would encourage you to leave the community. it is obvious that you have about as much on your plate as you can chew. and anyone would only be selfish to ask you to stay when it is detrimental to your health as it seems to be. I just want to let you know that the people here who make your life miserable wont be affected one way another by your loss. but the people who arent jerks, would rather not have you in our community anymore, than have you in miserable health. This community will survive one way or another, and if it doesnt then its no big deal. dont put effort into this community to make it better, when such effort should be put toward your health. I cant speak for everyone in this next point but i do appreciate the effort you put into staying in this community. dont think that those efforts go unseen. Thanks, pardon my spelling, and stay/get healthy.
also my AIM is majesticle42, i will try to be on if i can.

i would say that the safest thing would be to contact the family, that way no police will show up or anything. but then i remember his family had been part of the problem, he and his mother had not been getting along, im not sure how that would go down if thats the main problem here as well. I assume that since no situacional updates have occured that no one contacted anyone (aside from whats posted) assuming thats the case, why would weregoose post the contact information instead of contacting the authorities himself. I would very muc like to hear from weregoose again to see whats up. I dont like to underestimate a situacion, but i just doesnt seem right. None (very few) of us here have any clue what is going on, why would the information be posted for us? again, weregoose i would like to hear whats up.
@LOTG, none of us know the situation excepting weregoose and maybe grendale, but mainly weregoose as he is the one that innitiated this topic. imagine if 5 people here @ omnimaga called the police, i think it would go down alot harder than an awkward moment. plus, it wil not be an awkward moment, they arent gona go "you okay?" then leave, assuming he is a danger to himself, his parents will be notified and an officer will probably be forced to stay with him.

The mini-program is, yes, in BASIC with the help of xLib. However, the mini-program is only intended to tie the sprites together and see them in a more organized way. And yes, it's possible, as there is no raycasting engine; just sprites being displayed as well as a couple of lines. Plus, what do you mean by, "MOTHER@#$!#$ 5 times in 7 years..."? |
i forgot about my post so i guess ill explain now. 2001,2002,2005,2006 and now 2007. 5 years the New England Revolution has been in the MLS cup final and lost. second time in a row and against the same team that we have scored first and lost (houston dynamo). The game ended, i went downstairs to my comp, AIMed some people then posted that so it was heavily in my mind.

Edit: spelled sprite srite  |

i was wondering how basic games handle high scores. i realize that people store the list to the archive after the game closes, i was wondering how you would detect that. here are my thoughts:
3 states of a particular list 1: archive 2: nonexistant 3: not in the archive
deciphering between groups 1 and 3 is easy, unarchive will unarchive if in archive and leave if in ram. Likewise 2 and 3 is easy, if you set dim as 2 then it wont overwirte the data and you can check if the first element is nonzero. The problem occurs when you need to differentiate between archive and non existant. if you give the command to unarchive, then if it doesnt exist you get an error, the only way i can see around this is if there is a way to detect if a list exists whether its in teh archive or not...is this possible, are my thoughts completely off, is there another way to do this? any help would be appreciated

THE POST 13523892 QuoteBegin-art_of_camelot+15 Nov, 2007, 12:22 --> QUOTE (art_of_camelot @ 15 Nov, 2007, 12:22) | QUOTE | A RPG in one page? I have to see this, even jamolta (spelling?) wouldn't fit on one page, not to discourage the progress or anything . |
Jamolta? I assume you meant Joltima and yea, joltima was like 14,000 bytes or so IIRC, and thats with out grayscale or gigantic enemy sprites. I don't think he used compression though. |
why doesn it matter? even black editions can make room for a 2page app of this quality

THE POST 13513734 i think the main thing thats holding people back is asm, its only about 5% of the people here know asm, about 1-2% of them are inactive or not here right now and then many others are , as you said tied up. i for one would helpl if i could, unfortunately day 14 isnt enough to create a good program so... also, im not quite sure im retaining everything, asm is alot harder than i had originally thought it would be.
