I can't get Tilp to work! The GUI looks fine, but upon searching for a calc, it says "Can't set cable". And since it can't connect to a calculator, it's entirely useless... I can't upload or download any files unless I strart up my corrupted-beyond-repair Windows OS partition to use TI Connect... Information: Computer: Tilp info: Calculator info: Please help!

I've really never even heard of Puppy Debian, Ubuntu, and Fedora are the only ones I've ever tried. My suggestions should be disregarded, then.

If you have incompatible hardware, then it won't work; the operating system needs to do something that the computer can't do. I'd suggest trying an older OS (like Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx or Debian 5 Lenny). What are your computer's specs? I don't really know anything about hardware requirements, but someone else might.

The corrupted variables keep coming back, though. Even after RAM clears, they come back to haunt me! But if they come from Noshell, I'd rather have Noshell and these RAM clears than no Noshell (heheh) and no RAM clears. 'cause I really like the homerun feature and the not allowing prgm write-back.

But MirageOS doesn't have a homerun feature!

zStart doesn't work for me, and I use Noshell because it's got a mode that doesn't archive/unarchive when running archived programs. (No GarbageCollect, my highscores are stored in appvars, and it's good for the flash ROM or something.) DoorsCS does the whole archive unarchive thing, so I don't use it's homerun feature. But if there's an alternative to Noshell that does that 'no allowing program writeback' stuff, please tell me!

Weird equation variables keep appearing on my calc - a TI 84+SE, bought around March 2012. From the memory menu, here they are: Whenever I touch them in anyway - attempt to archive, use, delete, even press the Y= button or try to graph, my calc crashes. They're in the RAM, so they disappear, but eventually they come back and trouble me again. And even though they seem to take up all that space, the RAM left doesn't change when they appear. Every time they appear, I have to group my important in-RAM stuff and reset/try to deal with them and clear RAM anyways, then go bring everything back and reset settings. It's annoying, especially having to check for them before graphing! I have Axe, DCS, Krolypto, MirageOS, Noshell, Omnicalc, Symbolic (not installed), and zStart (not installed) on my calc with hooks. (I think.) And again, I have a TI 84+SE, bought around March. What is this?

Yeah, I disabled MP, and it gave me 4C22. Now:
:Asm(EF7E80) :If {ᴇ849C}ʳ-ᴇ4C22 :Disp "You can't use this!" :End
It works! Thanx

I got '4'. Does that mean
:Asm(EF7E80) :!If {ᴇ849C}ʳ-ᴇ4 :Disp "You can't use this!" :Return :End
Will work?

I installed it, turned on catalog help, and omnicalc, set Run on RAM Clear, did some stuff with Program settings, and exited. The cursor was blinking normally. Then I pressed the PRGM button (and after testing many times, it seems any button but 2nd, ALPHA, and ON do this,) and everything went blank. I had to pull the batteries, but it kept coming back. Eventually, I used the arrow key trick to disable apps. It also deleted my Groups. I've got a TI-84+SE, bought it in ~March of this year.

I've tried zStart, but it crashes every time I use it! I just tried it again, messing with settings randomly, and now my calc is messed up. Every time I start it, it doesn't; I pull the batteries, and it says RAM cleared, but when I try to do anything else, it messes up again. I've backed it up, but... Anyways, I'll fix it by resetting the OS. zStart doesn't work for me, though. I think that this topic should be moved, it'd be better there. Someone, please do it! So, how can you check the ID?

Is there any way I can check the calc's ID number and store it to a variable? School's starting soon, and that means that my classmates are going to steal my calc and try to steal my in development games. I need a way to stop them from using them, so only I can run it! I used to store a key value to a variables, but they've taken to stealing all my variables, too! So I need to find a way to check the calc's ID number, and I thought Axe might be able to do it.

Oops, my mistake!
:If pxl-test(Y+2,X :0->C
Should be
:If pxl-test(Y+2,X) and (C<0) :0->C
It was meant to stop the falling, so that gravity doesn't take effect upon landing.

I'm just going to write this from memory, 'cause my calc's backing up and I gotta go soon. That's pretty rough, I wrote it in like 5 minutes. Let me know how it works for you. EDIT: You should probably store pxl-test(Y+2,X) to a variable, cause it is used a bunch of times.
