Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: Linux

I would highly recommend either openoffice or koffice (preferably koffice) for microsoft office support. You should also ask Jonimus for help on setting up TiLP. You should get Wine and Mono for windows compatibility on most programs. Other then that I can't think of anything at the moment. You might like Docky though :)

I'd use Google Docs for online and OpenOffice for offline.

Okay, probably not...

Hi I'm Tyler. I joined this forum to get help with some of the issues I'm having and because I will probably get into programming in the future.
This is a cool emoticon: :w00t:

:w00t: is great, what about :hyper:? :P

Eitherway, welcome on the forums, read the rules and feel free to show us your projects or ask for help :D

There is a relative easy way to cheat: if you go to the very right side of the screen, you dont crash.

Hehe, but you die.

Code: [Select]
If X=88
.LOSE CODE
End

It works like that.

Ah, well the summer gives many people time to code, so I hope this all works out well!

Except for you :( Actually, you can code, but you can't use the internet.

Hope the next test period is more successful!

Nice Scout.
I couldn't really see it on the screenshot, but does it get faster after a time?
If it doesn't I think that could be something you could add. Good job. :)

Of course it gets harder and harder with time, that's obvious :D

Looks nice. :)
If you could add a rotating helicopter blade, I think it would look a lot cooler. :)

I'm not really sure of how I could do that. It's pretty much 2D.

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Assembly Programmers - Help Axe Optimize!

Stolen borrowed from WikiTI:

Code: [Select]

#define FULLSPEED  in a,2 \ rla \ sbc a,a \ out (20h),a

And this gives you the added bonus of the CPU operating approximately 25KHz faster at full speed mode!
Note: This has the side effect of out (0),0 on the TI-83+. Is that okay?

Axe doesn't work on the 83+ right?

Can you change DJ's songs so they are listed by name and for example I want the song 'Terra' I got to letter 'T', instead of going to 'D' and then look for DJ Omnimaga - Terra'

My last project, which I started last afternoon is now finished. Yes, I did it less than one day :)

Quote
Mission Copter is a simple, but addicting helicopter game for the TI 83/84+ (SE) calculators.
It features highscores, it gets harder as it goes and is very simple to play.

Here's a screenshot:

I highly recommend you to try it on a real calculator, in this case it's much better than in an emulator.

If you have any ideas just tell me, the source code is included, feel free to play with it, but don't use it as yours. I'd like to thanks ZippyDee for making the helicopter sprite and Fast Crash for helping me with the concept of horizontal moving.

Spyro: Yeah, pretty much every project here is TI, I'm sorry.
Because I'm learning ASM pretty well atm, this is going to be in ASM :w00t: The only thing that I have to learn for it in ASM is how to display sprites and I'm ready for it ;)

I'd highly recommend that you make this game shells-only and use iPutSprite.

Will this actually work as a PRIZM Emulator? Or not really?

I agree with Art Of Camelot, if you want someone to make sprites for you, then we need details.

In addition, the image you posted is broken.

I tried it on firefox and it looks really good for the first few seconds (It gets rendered properly) and then all of the buttons scatter accross the screen. I'll have to try it on a mobile, but from what I saw it looked awesome!

Yeah I'd highly recommend Chrome for the job.
