Yes, Carry-free addition is just the Xor operation (for 1 bit numbers only!). However, if you just want the cryptography, may I recommend SHA-1? If you want to learn, then I'd recommend trying a simpler, more widely used hash function like MD5.

PS: SHA-2 defines more than one function :)

MD5 is indeed simpler and easier to make.

If we say 'I don't recommend it', please say why.

And even then, we can still be told how to do it :D

The more information the better, you'll be thanked, perhaps rated up and we'll answer your questions too. (I'm not talking to Hot_Dog, to everyone who reads it).

Other Calculators / Re: Selling Nspire for Prizm
« on: April 20, 2011, 10:56:18 am »
Well there are currently plans to add an 84+ emulator to the Prizm so you wouldn't lose all TI games. Yes you would lose all nspire games because an nspire emulator sounds very difficult to accomplish. But on the other hand many people would like to port some popular nspire games to the Prizm in the near future. Also current projects in development for the Prizm are java and an Axe port.

Saving games is not something I'm really worried with at the moment. But a 83/84+ (SE) emulator would be a +.

I couldn't agree more. If we don't know the answer, we either don't post or post something useful. Not saying 'Why do you want to do this?'. If we say 'I don't recommend it', please say why.

Is there way the analog can move? Not sure if it can be done.
What do you mean by that?

When I run it, it displays the analog clock, but does it move while the program is running? When I tried V1.0 in my 84+ Keypad, I don't think it did. If you think it does, I'll try again.
The analog clock should change every minute in both 1.0 and 1.1.

I'll try again then.

EDIT: Yes, it works! You just have to wait some time so that you can notice it of course.

Nice shell!  I like it, it looks very nice already!

I don't think that it is a shell:

Nope, it just runs the 'apps' that I built in,

But it's still pretty cool, I like the password input!

That would be awesome!

It would be cool, but not sure if awesome, it's rarely useful.

Here's version 1.1. I finished it a really long time ago, so I've forgotten what's new in this version... Probably just optimizations.

Thanks, this is a very cool project. Is there way the analog can move? Not sure if it can be done.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: Here's a new coder in the family
« on: April 20, 2011, 09:31:17 am »
Hey, I come in peace from portugal (the worst actual economy all over the world) to join this big family of calculator coders!
I've got a TI-83 (non plus :() and a TI-nspire touchpad, so I'm fluent in both TI-BASICs.
I'm also fluent in matlab, portuguese, qbasic and english.

My new match is the learning of Lua for the nspire to re-make my "Tic Tac Toe Reloaded" (I made in the 83) and to create a Mastermind-like game...

Cheers

Welcome renatose, I guess you've been given a lot of peanuts already, so you don't need some quality Portuguese Peanuts.

And yeah, Portugal's economy is one of the worst in the world.
