Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: Ubuntu
« on: April 20, 2011, 09:27:34 am »
I just installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my old Pentium 4 desktop tonight, and I was wondering if anybody could direct me towards some good guides to help me get started. (I'm very new to Linux.) Thanks in advance.  8)

Use the Software Installer to find software you might need. It's divided in categories for easier searching. I'd install Wine too if you're used to Windows.

Other Calculators / Re: Selling Nspire for Prizm
« on: April 20, 2011, 09:26:25 am »
@scout: It depends on your needs and what your school requires for graphing calculators. TI calculators also have a much larger program selection at the moment (since you have the 84 keypad). I Wouldn't discourage you from getting a Prizm though. It is a very nice piece of equipment. ;)

As I sad in the other topic, I need to know if PRIZM's Maths capabilities are good too :D

EDIT: Thanks for the advice.

Other Calculators / Re: Nspire or Prizm?
« on: April 20, 2011, 09:25:57 am »
Well, as of yesterday I am the proud owner of a Casio Prizm. I am quite pleased with it and thus far it has exceeded my expectations. The backlight display is very crisp and high quality. I am also quite happy with the overall design and their implementation. The menu based navigation is different from what I've grown up with on the TI calculators, but it has been pretty easy to adjust to. Overall I am extremly satisfied. ;D

Lucky you! I wish I had one too. You guys with PRIZM's should make more videos of the PRIZM maths, graphs and functions, since I will only buy it if it's also good for Maths.

should I update from 2.53MP to 2.55MP?

I wouldn't, but it depends on what you want.

Art / Re: Nenex, a comic I ever drew
« on: April 20, 2011, 09:23:56 am »
First of all, perhaps change the topic name to "Nenex, a comic I once drew". The graphics/drawing are looking pretty nice. The story is good too, but could be more intriguing.

@Stefan: your new signature is looking great! Nice job, but try to do what ruler501 said.

I have a new screenshot! I added high-scores in appvars, a very deadly GAME OVER screen and there are now 10 levels. Drawing the title screen isn't finished yet, but you can now see the high-scores in the menu screen. Any ideas to add? What do you think?

EDIT: The screenshot doesn't look so good, it's better on-calc.

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Bug Reports
« on: April 20, 2011, 07:56:56 am »
I'm not sure if this is a bug, but can't Axe make very big jumps?

Because I have a Goto and it only works if I delete some lines above it, if I add those lines, the jump doesn't work again.

I thought that in Assembly, jp could jump everywhere. Is it my fault or Axe's fault?

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist
« on: April 20, 2011, 07:54:23 am »
I have a new feature suggestion!

Multiple fixes in one line:

Code: [Select]
Fix 3
Fix 1
Text(0,0,"HELLO WORLD
Fix 0
Fix 2

Would be :

Code: [Select]
Fix 3,1
Text(0,0,"HELLO WORLD
Fix 0,2

Is it possible?

TI-Nspire / Re: 9sweeper - Minesweeper in Lua for TI-Nspire
« on: April 19, 2011, 04:34:27 pm »
Is there any way to put a timer and a game won message(at least the smile that tells everithing in minesweeper)?

I agree that that'd be cool.

Also, @renatose: You should visit more sections of the forum, not just Lua ones and try to get 20 messages to talk to us on OmnomIRC, or join us on IRC EFNet, channel #omnimaga.

But before, you should make a topic here!

TI Z80 / Re: n+
« on: April 19, 2011, 04:32:43 pm »
It's official. I'm now embarking on a quest to create n+ for the 84+SE. Thought y'all should know.

Yet again, you should give us some links and videos/images of what N+ is.

EDIT:

EDIT 2:

WOAH That's gonna be hard to code, so many Physics! Good Luck!

I have officially announced my attempt to create a version of n+ for the 84+SE. I need some recognizable 8x8 sprites, especially of the all the ninja's poses. Anyone who creates a sprite that gets used will be credited.

What is N+? More detail please.

Attached is a sprite that may be useful.

They're still few for the nspire 3.0 :P
Once I get some time after mid semester tests I'll get into Lua programming and bake some more ;)

Bake'em up! Anxious for them.
