This looks like an interesting project. Maybe if USB programming gets easier, a joystick could be added. (Does usb8x support joysticks?)
As a joystick ever been done on-calc?

I agree, Skype is perfect for this genre of conversations. Phones would be just too expensive for some people and it would be hard to talk to more than 3 persons at the same time. Or maybe even TeamSpeak, if you want to talk like you can join/part IRC.
I have both TeamSpeak and Skype xD We still need to know what Lord would prefer, though.

I have to disagree with you on #4, Scout. I can't speak for others, but I think application games are generally a waste of app pages. You don't need to install a whole app for a program. Things like Wolfenstein are very impressive without them.
Yes, also because they occupy Archive space which is necessary. That's why most programs are not published as Apps. My next game, however, will be published in both.

No problem. I also need to finalize the new download category so I can finally announce it to public so we get more files.
Yes, I had never used the Downloads before, only for Racer3D. We could have a larger database, indeed! However, ticalc sometimes does the job.

Right. Well, I will probably still check it out anyway, just to see how it looks like on-calc.
I'm not sure if it will be bootable. I'm guessing not, since I'm pretty sure he's releasing the kernel.
Yes, it's gonna be a very basic version, so that programmers can start developping their programmes. So that when it is released, it doesn't take much time to start publishing programs.

1.) Try to make the artwork in the game look as good as possible. Just because the calculator isn't very powerful doesn't mean you can't make a good-looking game. 2.) Don't release a public version of a game that is known to have significant problems (beta releases are different, though). 3.) Ask for advice from others on ways that you might be able to improve a game. Often times you may be biased in the judging of your own programs and they may not be as great as you yourself perceive them to be. 4.) Try to make something that will be not just played and deleted within a brief period of time. Aim to make the game something great. 5.) Optimize, optimize, optimize! Make it your goal to make the game code as efficient as possible.
Also, even though this does not make the game itself any more professional, it would be a very good idea to distribute the program under the GPL and include the source code with the game (like DJ said- the TI community is very open source, and I know I for one agree with this unofficial philosophy).
1.) The TI Community is open-source because the source can be easily gotten with decompilers :S 2.) I agree that our games have to be fast! 3.) The artwork is very important too 4.) An Application game is also much more professional than a .8xp one I think

It seems fine to me. It's how it should work. if you search for racer, it returns both your racer game and Builderboy's java game. If I click your keywords, it doesn't show his because he used no keywords.
As for Spritelib, he should put spaces between keywords as now it thinks it's just one.
It was one in a hundrd. I'm sorry for my mistake, though.

Will that release be publicly available or only for certain people?
I think (from what I heard) that it will be available for everyone, but only developers will be interested in it.

Also, the new version has been uploaded to ticalc.org here. And there's a version with the Unix line endings here. (Copies are also available in Cemetech's archives- and I'll replace the one in the first post in a second with a link to ticalc.org).
Is it raw_input() based already?

Probably just with phones, or some other method to get us all talking to each other for about an hour.
I would prefer it to be Skype or sth like that. A phone would be too expensive, since we are all in different countries.

So, I wonder... How's KnightOS? Still think you can launch a Developper's/Beta version in 1 January?
I know he'll be able to launch the version by 1 January for a fact. I'm working on USB routines, so I know those won't really be in KOS dev version. I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure he'll get it done.

I made that one. It's kinda simple, though and it's from 3 years ago.In my game Mysterious Cities of Gold: The Curse of Amirax, there's a song used only once, in an haunted house. It's very simple but I wonder if it would fit?
Thats a great clip I'm definitely using some of that ^^
Glad you like it
Nice job DJ
