tiDE / Re: tiDE Team
« on: December 05, 2010, 03:18:59 pm »
I would like to arrange a conference call with the team to discuss tiDE.  What times best suit everyone?

Conference call, Skype or anything like that right?

It would be nice, but only after I finish tests (11December is the first non-test day)-

In my game Mysterious Cities of Gold: The Curse of Amirax, there's a song used only once, in an haunted house. It's very simple but I wonder if it would fit?

That looks scary, but still hearing it, who made it?

It could also be in text/forum form or just HTML, right? Kinda like the old Ticalc.org newsletters.

I do too!

Anyone interested in joining me a trimestral newsletter sent as HTML and or PDF?

So, I wonder... How's KnightOS? Still think you can launch a Developper's/Beta version in 1 January?

It's not, though. It can be one part of compiling, but it's not really compiling itself. Compilation is the process of turning one computer language into another, and this isn't doing that. It's taking one computer language, and turning it into its tokenized form.

You are the professional here, so I'll look up to your ideas xD

Sounds awesome, can't wait to hear it ^^

Are you afraid of copyrights? I mean, I'm using a minute or two from worldwide known songs (lady Gaga as an example) and slowing them down 500% and giving them effects, nobody could recognize them, but yet, not made from scratch

Well I know I already have commands that let the user have access to the 65536 bytes of memory... of which 32768 is RAM and so can be written to...

By the way, I love HEX.

I don't understand what he means either

Err, what is z addressing?

Isn't it the addresses like .org 40039 or sth like that?

Absolutely :)

Ok, I'm working in a slow song (actually I'm using well-known songs like Pop and turning them into ambiental songs, making the sound lower for darkness and scary)

Z addressing?

LCD memory is really slow to use and there is only an extra 196 bytes of memory. But I guess... for long term storage? Hmm, now I want to try something...

So, he recommended making TI BASIC have som Asm controls, that would be sweet!
Then, TI Basic+SpriteLib would gradually become a lower-level language YAY!

Other Calculators / Re: Obscure, Yet Great Games

I've noticed how there are a lot of fun games out there, but they are so obscure that very few people seem to notice them.  This is a thread to mention some games that you like, but not many people know about.  I'll start with three fun, but semi-obscure games. :)

Paper Plane - A wonderful game in which you fly your plane towards the ground, hoping to avoid the obstructions.

Sky - Another fun game, in which you must walk on all the tiles to advance to the next level.
http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/378/37816.html

Rattle Snake - One of my favorite snake games of all time.  It has a Campaign Mode that is wonderful.

Alright, so, what are some other obscure gems? ;D

Indeed there are lots of great games that due to lack of advertisement never get featured and sometimes their titles are not attractive and people don't download them.

Great find, though.

Well all roughly the same code as Squidget's, Runner just did a few optimizations and added a Assembly routine (I believe that's what it is unless Runner released a different one that I missed). But ya, they are really nice.

From now on, everybody will use his source as base.

Back on Formulum

Putting the file in my calculator, then I can really work on this

We can't see source ?

It's not open source, but if you really want to crack the source, use a disassembler, even though I think there are probably >1 files

We could also make maze games with this. Just an idea, though.

THis sounds interesting. Are you planning on making it 3d or 2d?

I think 2.5D would be appropriate. 2D would be boring and 3D would be sweet but very hard.
