Miscellaneous / Re: [MERGED TOPICS] Version numbers/abcd/Completion %
« on: December 04, 2010, 06:13:11 pm »
I never saw anyone other than Quigibo use Delta or Gamma instead of Beta and Alpha before, though...

In Ndless case, it seems ExtendeD is using the same version number as the OS it runs on, now, followed with another number. Example Ndless 1.1 is for OS 1.1, Ndless 1.7 for OS 1.7 and Ndless 2.0 for OS 2.0 (there are exceptions, though, such as Ndless 1.0)

That's a good idea, but most programs are AllOS Compatible (except for that special case).

In my PC programs I only change the units digit when I make a complete makeover of the GUI.

ScoutDavid: By "not run using cmd", you mean "not be a command line program and have a GUI", I assume. (Please clarify if I'm mistaken).

Not-GUI, that would make it slow.
Not cmd, since we need to cd the location.
Python but non-GUI!

If you make it Python but non-GUI I can make a GUI out of it, I'm one awesome (sorry for this) python GUI programmer actually.

Hum... I got none and updated, gonna try again

ask aeTIos. If you join, then we are gonna be 4 medium-level programmers working in the same project: BLAST!

I think Raylin cancelled his project, right? IIRC some life stuff came up then he kinda stopped all calc projects he was working on. I also remember joining one of the HCWP thing on Cemetech, which he founded, and he was not online... hopefully he returns soon. Maybe another contest could be started in the meantime?

It could also be due to finals, though.

Contests are a way of motivating programmers to do the best stuff out there, if given a short time limit, they'll make something good. Too long limit, they'll forget about it, no pressure, make something good. Given the exact time and pressure? Perfect programs!

I want a contest!

Hex would be nice, maybe, for those who prefer coding in hex or remember some hex commands, but it would probably depend of how many people actually code in hex compared to z80 style ASM.

Yes, Xeda knows HEX very well and is looking for a compiler.

I am of the belief that if he successfully makes an application using HEX it will get more popular. I am learning HEX by the way and have printed in paper lots of commands, I will know them by heart one day

So no response via both e-mail and PM? ??? That sucks. I guess maybe he'll be kicked out of the team if he doesn't do anything or ignore any communications, though. X.x

No! Of course not, it was just a matter of time since he's just PM'd me.

If someone were to be kicked, then it would be me, the one with less C# knowledge.

Code: [Select]
The source may be larger, but the compiled code is not. All Axe optimizations should aim to reduce the size of the compiled code, not the source.

As for getting errors in SourceCoder, that's probably because it doesn't use the same characters as my forum post uses. If you want the source as an 8xp file so you can avoid conversion errors, I'll attach it.

Anyways, you don't have to worry about this or anything. I just randomly decided to optimize this for fun, there's really no reason this would need to be as hyper-optimized as I made it.[/quote]

Optimizing the compiled code...
Optimizing the compiled code...
Optimizing the compiled code...
Optimizing the compiled code...
Optimizing the compiled code...
Optimizing the compiled code...
Optimizing the compiled code...

That makes a lot of sense, really it does!

I'm planning 4 lvl greyscale and hoping that the users have some imagination  :P

The Prizm port should be better.

Also, I'm a fan of mouse cursors. They're so easy to use. But it'd suck if that's the one thing people like about the game.

Qwerty, do you mind if I use your cursor engine in a program I'm making?

I need to borrow all the cursor's code :S

you can add wallball: http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/431/43141.html

EDIT: the newest version (1.1) of wallball was rewritten in Axe to make it faster and add in things I didn't know how to add in before.

Great, today was first time I checked this project, very nice, indeed!
