Nope, your peanuts are here. Have some TAO ones.  They're the brand that I use.  Many people, if they have some major project, will have peanuts for their project.  Welcome to omnimaga!

You were the one who gave me peanuts too :D

General Discussion / Re: The (new) DJ Omni Music Torrent!
« on: November 28, 2010, 10:06:05 am »
Trackers allow people with the torrent contents or downloading it to find others doing the same and either seed to them or download from them.
It essentially lets everyone keep track of everyone else :D

Yeah, that's why torrents aren't very safe, but they're the best way of heavy downloads, I think

I meant all those who can seed regularly ;)
I'm seeding too, though :D

What are trackers? There's alberthrock and netham45 website here :S

If we seed it's good, but there are not THAT MANY downloads, unfortunately :(

or just 99%, 1% =p

Yes, that's fair too, since I suppose 99% goes for me!

Computer Programming / Re: SourceForge VS Google Code
« on: November 28, 2010, 09:57:11 am »
The main difference between SF and Google Code is one of power vs. simplicity.
SF provides a powerful interface for developers, more so than Google Code.
Google Code, on the other hand, just has you type a few things in and you have a project. It has much less of a learning curve than SF, but it is less powerful.
So, if you have time, I recommend trying to get more used to SF before you just throw it off as "quite.. confusing" :)
I personally am using Google Code because I feel that I don't need everything that SF can provide; I just want decent hosting with version control. Sir seems to think differently. :)

As for similar ones, I don't know of any off the top of my head :/ SF and Google Code are the two main ones.
Exactly what I said in my first reply, but I think your summary is easier to read ;D

Yup, I am trying CodeFlex and SourceForge at the moment :)

"I already have planned animations as a potential feature, although I haven't worked on it (or most things on that list). Most of what I've worked on so far is the filesystem itself and making sure I set up a framework that will support a vast array of features, like animations."

There is a sprite editor made by Deep Thought I think which has animations, you could check it :)

Hi!

I'm rayquaza59. I live in France (North of France, 59 is the zip code (not part of my date of birth;D)) and I'm 15 metres long.
I had a TI-83+.fr and a TI-30XB Multiview (which still work)
I only know TI-Basic, but I'm planning to learn Axe Parser when I'll get a new calc..

If some of you have troubles in French, I may help them with their grammar/spelling, I'm a bilingual (french-english, and I'm learning spanish, german and italian.)

"Welcome", since you're in the community for quite a considerable amount of time :P

Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: Anti-Virus
« on: November 28, 2010, 09:44:20 am »
I've always been a big fan of ESET because it's extremely light on system resources. Especially in comparison to Norton.

I changed to Microsoft Security Essentials a couple of months ago. It's hard to say how good the virusprotection actually is but I didn't run into any serious problems thusfar. It's free, has realtime protection and doesn't continually bother me with nagscreens. That's more than enough for me.

Great for you.

Another side to debate is Linux which is ALMOST virus-free because there are almost no virus for Linux's OSs

TI Z80 / Re: Sprite Editor Feature Requests

That's a lot of features O_o
I can only think of a couple things that are missing:
Ability to scroll (So we can edit, say, a 32*32 sprite at 4x zoom)
Cut/Copy/Paste (Box selection, unless you really want to add the ability to deal with user-drawn shapes ;D)

Can't wait to see if you implement this! :)

That would be great! Does it work with frames/animations already? if it doesn't, I'd like to see that too
