Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: Anti-Virus

Paid version.
I have something slightly older than the Titanium stuff they're offering now, but it was the top one, so it would be similar to the Titanium Maximum Security. I think it was called Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, but I could be wrong as I don't have my laptop with me.

Yes, I saw all that 'Titanium' advertisement in their website.

Names like 'Titanium Version' really make not wanna buy it, it's a name which goal is to sell more copies :S

TI Z80 / Re: [PROJECT] Racer3D: Replay

Code: [Select]
:[38107C1010282828->Pic1
:Pt-Change(0,0,Pic1
:DispGraph
:Repeat getKey->Z
:End
:If Z=2
:Pt-Off(0,0
:Pt-Change(0,10,Pic1
:End

Pt-Off doesn't work like that and probably isn't supposed to do that.

I'm sure this doesn't work because I didn't 'StorePic' or 'RecallPic' like you said:
Returning to topic, Racer3D: Replay is a bit dead now, I haven't worked on it for a week.

I have an Axe Doubt now:

I have Pic1 in coordenates(0,0,).

Now, I want Pic1 to move 10pixels right, every time I press the key right (which is getkey(3)).

I want it to move without any animation, just move. Any ideas?
The first thing you need to consider is that the drawing of Pic1 at (0,0) is still there, even after you draw it again.
So (unless you want the old one to remain) you have to do one of two things: (There might be more, these are the two that have occurred to me.)
1) Store a copy of the screen before Pic1 was drawn at all to, say, L3 (the backbuffer). Draw Pic1. When you want to move Pic1, copy the backbuffer to the main buffer. This will effectively remove Pic1 from the screen. You can now draw Pic1 in its new location.
2) When you want to move Pic1, redraw whatever was underneath it. (If it was a tile, redraw it. If you can't redraw it so easily, you'll have to find a way to "grab" what was being covered and draw that when Pic1 moves.) Pic1 is removed from the screen and you can redraw it.

Ndless / Re: Ndless 1.7 for TI-Nspire
« on: November 27, 2010, 12:19:13 pm »
Well, you can downgrade the touchpad to 1.x using Nleash (although you must use the clickpad keypad to have it functional), but the touchpads can not be downgraded to 1.7.

Yes, that's why me and and a bunch of other people are awaiting for Ndless 2.0 :P

Whoat? HP Calculator? didn't even know about them.
They are rarity in schools. More powerful then both CASIO and TI, but their learning curve is really step and manuals are quite hard to understand - but Surveying industry uses pretty much HP and nothing else (well, there are specialized hardware devices too).

Just to tell you, I have a HP Calculator, it's a pink one that came when I bought my printer hahaah

General Discussion / Re: The (new) DJ Omni Music Torrent!
« on: November 27, 2010, 12:14:36 pm »
Could someone list every available tracker for this torrent? Download doesn't start at all for me, it remains at 0.0%.

EDIT: Nvm now there'S 1 seeder but it goes on and off and downloads very slowly.
I think that's me. I'm seeding other things too, but I'll stop them. The speed is due to a limit I've put on upload speed, not to mention mine isn't very good anyway (10KB/s is, I think, about half of my upload capabilities >.>)

I'm downloading it now (stuck at 0.00%), but if I manage to finish it, I'll be seeding it for two weeks non-stop :)

Found 1 seeder, from USA ;P

KnightOS / Re: KnightOS

It's just a matter of choice, Scout :)
Also, there is a link on the main page (the one Sir linked to) to view the source, but, for those of us who have an SVN client (like TortoiseSVN) and wish to checkout, the repository is located at https://knightos.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/knightos (You can find this on the website, but it takes a few steps, so, for convenience, I've pasted it here.)

https://knightos.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/knightos

I'd like to have an online database of files like that, most people like the *ooh shiny* designs, but I like to keep it to that style :D

my teacher has a HP calc, which he never uses =p

Even worse, I'm the only person in my class to be able to program on calcs, everyvody using a TI-89 don't even know how to use it :o
LOL. It's still up to you: if we are discussing calculators itself, then Casio is slightly better, but then there are more programs for TI-84+SE. Think CAS. 9860G sure looks nice, but there are more CAS-related programs here - even if they are not as nice.

Yeah, ticalc has a larger database for Texas than any Casio website has, I think

Maybe I am missing something, but he never stated that it was a touchpad that he installed it on.  I am not sure if OS 1.7 can be installed on all of the touchpads.  I know it won't work on the CAS touchpads, but for some reason I remember reading that it works on the non CAS touchpads (please correct me if this is wrong).

Yes, but he didn't mention it was not a touchpad too, I think.

Either way, I'm sure it isn't, because from what I know (and correct me if I'm wrong xD) Touchpad can only have OSs that are >2.0

I think he meas OS 1.7.2714, as I know that exact version number exists.  The only non CAS 1.1 version that is used is 1.1.9253.

I have a doubt. Nspire Touchpad can't go back 2 right? So, OS1.7 can't be installed in Touchpads?

(BAD FRENCH ALERT)

I'm also the only one who programs, however, I have a friend of mine who wants me to teach him. but I go 'NOOO!', because he's rude...

Also, I'm the only one who can make Calc-Calc Connect, and I'm paid to do so in tests eves :D

Site Feedback and Questions / JavaScript DialogBox Private Messages
« on: November 27, 2010, 11:53:25 am »
Well, when i get a private message, a javascript dialog box shows up saying "You have 1 message in your Inbox, open it in a new tab?" "Yes","No".

I always go for "Yes", but no tab opens and I have to manually access Inbox.

I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome (7.0.x.y.a.b.c.d) in Windows 7 64Bit.

If this is a global error, it would be cool and I think, easy, to fix it :)

hy, i just installed ndless, it works fine, thanks!!
but the problem is:
when i am installing, it only works in maybe 1 out of 4 attempts...the other times it just reboots, or i have to reboot manually
my firmware is 1.1.2741

Uh, that is confusing, which ndless were you using? If you tried to install ndlesss 1.7 onto OS 1.1 then I don't think that works out very good `-`

As the name implies, Ndless1.7 works in OS1.7 :S

Hum.. That was a quick double post, use the Edit button instead :)

Since you're already in a Texas Calculators Programming community, go for the Texas one, and if it is for school, even more Texas :)

there are more people using Casios than TIs =p but I prefer TI because it's easy to program ^-^ O0

That's relative, I'm in a 28 person class, 26 out of 28 have calculators, 26 out of 26 have Texas and in my school, there are probably 10 Casio students and i'm in the best public school of Portugal (the school with higher grade average of the country AND is public).

Why? I don't know, teachers use Texas and recommend Texas.
