EDIT: Erik, our FRC team just built ours, and we discovered that simplest is the key
Ours basically is just two wheels attached to motors (they form a right angle to ensure grip), a battery, and about 10 wires
Haha, sounds similar to ours. (well, probably most teams too!) We've got it so it can go up the pole decently, enough for some bonus points. Getting it DOWN, though...

These new songs sound like everything else on the radio. Especially "Lights Out". It's like Coldplay but with a different singer, really. I mean, they're...OK, but not at all special. RICK ASTLEY IS BACK AGAIN LAST WEEK
But...but you said you'd never say goodbye :'(

Unfortunately, they're having a lot of technical issue right now. The marathon might be postponed until tomorrow.
Edit: Good news, everyone! Everything's fixed, they're starting for real right now!

Are there any proof that the money for the Zelda New Year's marathon as well as the N64 and Pokémon ones actually reached the people who need it (and not the governments, since they might keep it)? I tend to not trust that stuff much, after what happened to Moisson Lévis (the city where I live version of Moisson Quebec, a group that raise money and food for poor people who need money to eat) and a few others around here. (They just pretended to be a group that raised money for poor people but in fact kept it all for themselves).
Yes, the founder of the charity sent them a video of the site where they were building one of the schools. It was on the main page, but they've taken down the news bit for the video stream. Trust me, they are 100% honest. All the donations go directly to the charity.

Sorry if this seems a bit spammy, but I think it deserves some more attention. The folks over at ExtraLives.org are starting a Sonic the Hedgehog marathon for Charity:Water, which provides access to clean water for villages in developing nations. According to the charity, $20 can provide a person with clean water for 20 years, and $5000 can build a well. These are the same guys that did that Zelda New Year's marathon ($12,000 raised) and the recent N64 and Pokemon marathons ($10,000 raised each). The marathon is on http://www.extralives.org/ or on their Ustream page at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/extralives-marathons.

I try to avoid using goto, but often I'm just too lazy.
Need to get back to a bit at the very start of the program? Whatever, goto. I'm just making dumb little games because I'm bored in class, so what?

My desktop dual boots Linux Mint 9 and Windows 7, which I only use for Steam. The netbook has Ubuntu 10.04, but I've been meaning to install Mint for a while now.

Not computer related: My psychology teacher this past year was at prank war with a freshman English teacher. About once a week for over a month we were instructed to: * Cover her car with silly string/Post-It notes * Go into the class to pick up markers or something, then shoot silly string everywhere * Cover the door with that brown packaging paper so they couldn't leave the room without breaking through it * Do the same with balloons * And so on
In retaliation we would often come into class to find "GO {Rival of university my psych professor went to}" painted on the TV and walls, etc.
Edit: As far as computer stuff, we would use shutdown -i to remotely turn off other students' computers. I also added a registry key to my computer so it would BSOD on a certain key combination. Much confusion was had.

TI calculators have to be made of some sort of plastic titanium. Mine has been thrown into a wall and dropped several times, but the only visible damage is a missing rubber stopper. A bullet must be the only way to physically break them.

Hmm...If I can get my hangman game running a bit better, would you be interested in including it? It'd be 2-player only though, and I don't claim to make a perfect program but it has kept my friends and I entertained through class.
