I have no idea how to easily make keys configurable, except spending 10 times the time I spent making these programs (which I don't have).

Ever wanted to protect your Nspire from unwanted people?

Well, your already have zLock and Hide Manager (please refer to their topics for further informations about these programs).

None protect your Nspire completely.

Today, I'm presenting you two other tools which can help you protect your Nspire in two yet another different ways (of course, you need Ndless 3.1 to run them).

nProtect:
nProtect protect the file browser of the Nspire. Once installed, you will need to press the "magic" key(s) plus the regular key to access the file browser.

nHide:
More magic comes with this one. nHide helps you protect only a part of the filesystem.
By default, the Nspire you can only browse part of the filesystem (from /Documents).
Once installed, if you press the "magic" key(s) plus the regular key, you will access the full filesystem (from /), where you'll hide your secret documents. If you only press the regular key to access the file browser, you will be able to browse from /Documents, as before.

For full instructions, see the readme of each program.

The major flow of these two programs is that you need to either use the default magic key ("=") or ask me to compile a specific version for you with your very password (ask by PM).

Because they are not automatically handled by the Nspire, and because I was too lazy to write a function to do it at the time I wrote the demo :P but it's something planned for the engine.

Use argv[0]. :)

Ok. Perfect :).

For other people having this issue:
1)Make sure your nLaunch version is not *too* old
Then, any new released* revision of ndless will be ok.

Again, are you sure you did not use an outdated nlaunch.tno or nlaunch.tns somewhere in the tutorial?

nlaunch.tno is not an OS. It is a fake OS. However, the phoenix.tns included in the pack(s) is/are real OSes.
(just look at the filesize)

EDIT: To make it simple: if you need to use a nlaunch.tno, use the one I have updated.

As long as you have nlaunch installed, why would you install it again?

To use the "switcher" feature, all you have to do is to put another OS in /nlaunch/phoenix.tns .

I only changed it in the transformation pack ( http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=10859 )
If there is a nlaunch.tno in the switcher pack, you don't need it as you have already installed nLaunch with the transformation pack.

Yup, the Clickpad/Touchpad part of this tutorial uses the old nLaunch.

I'll see if I can update the pack.
