The source code was all lost, but goplat managed to edit a binary to work with ndless 1.7 (and thus 2.0)

I got it working. Don't use "import svn" but just use checkout, even if it is your first time.

People at school know I have ways with computers, and that I know how to put games on calculators, but that's about it. Some of my closer friends know I am in the process of hacking my school network to do a huge prank at the end of the school year.

I'm having trouble checking out the SVN. TortoiseSVN gives me this error: access to '/scm/svn/nsptools/!svn/act/5fd8be76-d0ea-3646-ba4f-d6c7db3a5549' forbidden What is going on  I got the login correct.

I still get a reboot  I'm using os 1.7, so try testing that on an emulator.Forgot I had to use ndless 2.0.

This is not possible on the Nspire, but it has been done before, namely with the TI-89 series of calculators. A C-Development environment program, named GTC, was made that allowed C development directly on the calc.
I wouldn't say it is not possible. Gcc and the various tools it requires just need to be ported over. (Not that I'm going to do it or anything, but still,it is a possibility)

I've got vista I would be using linux, but this computer is shared with the rest of my family so i cant. I have two other pcs with linux, but they're too old to be useful. Oh, and does TI-OS count?

PS: and as DJ_O said making the OS a better platform for programming!!! the next ndless!
Although to run OS patches you actually need Ndless. 
And is it very hard to write to Flash? I wonder if you need to unlock it or something? Until a few years ago almost nobody knew how to write to Flash on the 83+.
The os is stored in a single .img file, which is digitally signed, so the os can't be modified in flash. However, just writing to the flash is easy, we've had it ever since ndless came out.
