Alec,
Thank you for the reply.
As far as I am aware and as far as what is noted on all our TI-84 Plus family graphing calculators all of them have about 24KB of RAM not 128 KB RAM. We are not responsible for third party software which may alter the calculator. Due to the risks involved, Texas Instruments does not support or recommend modifications to the hardware. Modifications of this type will void the calculator's original warranty, and could result in damage to your calculator or personal injury.
I hope that you find this information helpful. If you have further questions or comments, please feel free to send me an email.
Warmest Regards,
César López

We could always use azerty or dvorak I remember hearing about a keyboard where the keys were all small led screens, so you can have any layout you'd want.

Arrow keys will keep it simple, though something like the nspire clickpad would be nice. Basically, a ring covering 8 buttons, making a grand total of 16 directions.
The thing I don't like about it, though, is that you need to press very hard to click. Also I don't like the button to select stuff being in the middle. If something like the clickpad is implemented, I think it should be made so it is easier to press it.
Also it shouldn't be in the middle.
Agreed. We can always improve on that, however.

We shouldn't have an led, the OS can just interrupt a program and display the warning message, or even do a "hibernate". The IR port sounds cool though I think they are banned on the SAT.

I remember trying to play a game that was 23,981 kb on my nspre, and it turns out archived programs still eat up a few kb of ram, so I had to delete all those, and then I ended up playing a game that wasnt so great anyways.

Awesome! I won't use it at the moment-I only have an nspire, and it has os 1.1 for ndless:(

I remember that, he just said all of them have 24 kb. It's kinda sad TI-82s have 4 more kb of ram over the 83/84+

I voted 192x128-it'll be good enough for a calc, cost less than the others, and make our lives easier when writing a compatibility layer for 8x programs. (multiple of 96x64) Also, I think the screens themselves aren't grayscale, just the lcd driver does the same thing we do with calc grayscale, though a lot more efficiently.

@bwang: I finally got the map modification working, but now I have a bug in the maze generation algorithm that makes the maze unsolvable. Once that's fixed, I'll probably add a timer, then it should be done.
I hope you find some time to convert the engine to fixed point, then it would be powerful enough for a starfox-type game.

Is there even any binaries in existence? Calc84 never made a release.

565. You write a PC emulator for your calc, and use it to run a calc emulator.
