[OTcalc] ARM-Hardware / Re: Hardware Discussion

Calc84 mentioned the LPC3230-it is a low-end 200mhz ARM9 if I'm not mistaken.

768??? whats cool about that?  sry i might be being nooby here,,,

4. Ti-nspire occasionally have hardware updates.  Unfortunately Texas Instruments either knew or cared about compatibility with their older models of the Nspires.  The power management bug takes place where an older calculator tries to run operating system 1.1.  Every time you want to use it, you must remove the keypad, then take out a battery.  Then you should replace both the keypad and the battery.  Press the On button and the calculator will boot up fully within the next 1-5 minutes.  If you choose not to, the calculator will do a continuous restart until it runs out of power.
What's this continuous restart thing?

Microusb OTG ports fit both micro-A and B, so why not get a male micro-a to male micro-b?

Nice! At least the gray is better than the cursor editor in DCS, where there was an awful flickery thing used to represent a transparent pixel.

3.5-cables are easier to find, and is compatible with headphones.

General Calculator Help / Re: Which Nspire?
« on: August 22, 2010, 05:06:09 pm »
Yeah, that's where all the costs are with nintendo products. Wii, for instance, here is $200 new, while each game is $50, and each wiimote set is also $50. I only run homebrew on it though :P and netflix
I only have two wii games-wii sports and super mario galaxy-because I got mine as a gift and my parents are against video games, so Iuse homebrew too.

Anyways, its kind of scary that when you see a stack of five console games, and know they're worth $250.

Introduce Yourself! / Another overdue hello...
« on: August 10, 2010, 09:17:49 pm »
Just like Snake X, I realized I had never put an introduction up.

Here goes:

I got my TI-Nspire when I was in 6th grade (I had been way ahead in math for a while, and was now starting high school math, so my parents got me a calc). I was being a total noob and decided to get it because I thought I could put linux on it :P I got disappointed and ended up using the 84 mode to play games and program in TI-BASIC. The moment I heard ndless was out, I installed it. I got bored of playing gameboy games, and decided to get involved in the programming scene. I don't remember when or how I came across Omnimaga, but it was really the only forum with an active Nspire section, so I ended up joining. At the moment, I am going into 8th grade.

psst ... I could really do with some of those limited edition "The Game" peanuts.

Just wondering, what happens if you trap a ball in a spot that gets filled in?

Maybe a function to convert 3d coordinates to a 2d projection, and another one to fill polygons.

TI-BASIC / Re: Why never to use Goto.
« on: August 10, 2010, 06:29:27 pm »
The best scenario i use goto in is this.  If a goto is called at the very beginning of a program, it can be the fastest way to get to the bottom of the program.  When i have large amounts of map data lets say, i have things like this

If T=1:Goto1
If T=2:Goto2
...

Lbl 1
MapData1
Return

Lbl2
MapData2
Return

Horribly memory inefficient, but faster than putting every room inside If:Then Blocks.
It's too bad there's no switch statement in TI-BASIC like there is in C.

I loved playing that game on the computer. This'll turn out great.
