I do like having a physical keyboard. I'm looking at getting a LG Optimus with android. The Optimus is touch screen only though.Yeah, they aren't very popular right now. Maybe there was something you forgot to reset - like a register that was zero the first time around but never got reset to zero in the second frame.

For whatever language you learn, start with the hello world program and work your way up from there. That's what I did with TI-BASIC, C, and just today, z80 asm.
I reccommend starting with an easy language, like TI-BASIC. This is a good tutorial for it. 534

I'm pretty sure nspire_emu will run in WINE, but I don't know how to set up WINE. Once you have that set up, though, I can help with setting up the emulator itself.
