Keep in mind that this is raycasting, which has more limitations in order to have a reasonable speed on the calculator.

Is this the same thing as paint by numbers?

Well I didn't see any progress on those. I guess they are dormant, sorry, my bad.

Now the side bar on the main page needs to be updated. IMO, discontinued projects should just be taken off from there.
Some more possible candidates are ncaster, TI-BOY, F-Zero, Bomberman, Project M, and XDE.

@Juju: You didn't get the dark post color exactly right. I can still read "this is a light colored post" on it.

I wish lego made stepper motors so they would be at least more accurate.  Well, at least they have a tachometer in them.  Thank you!
You can craftily use light sensors as rotation sensors. ;)
The downside to that though, is the color wheel needs to be quite large for it to have a somewhat reasonable degree of accuracy. And, you are then down a light sensor :(
Sigh...I wish lego included more sensors and ports to use them with.

There's the Pokemon Rangers, they don't use pokeballs, they just draw little circles on their ds :P

I had the original mindstorms set, the one with the big yellow brick. The motors in there didn't even have tachometers, and the only way to get distance info would be to connect a sensor (which i didn't have, of course) to one of the precious three sensor ports. For printers, I think most people used a stripe of alternating black and white tiles and a light sensor moving over them with the motor.

deep, more like 'so many cats recently'

Huh, you're right.

Moar :P
There needs to be a way to make that your desktop background. Active desktop would have worked, but it was only in XP. :(

That looks quite cool! I always wanted to make one of those, but I was one motor short :(

Make sure to create some backups somewhere else now, if you haven't done so already.
