I agree. We should change it to The Game thread.

It'd be kind of hard to do that "trick" on a bulldozer though, as the very bottom of the scoop is usually not parallel to the ground like the ramp is, resulting in an angle between the road and the scoop and not a smooth transition like the one on the van.

Also, for anyone who is interested, I looked stuff up and figured out how planes can fly upside down. They are tilted pointing up (while upside down, from and observer's perspective) that the leading edge is higher than the trailing edge, which generates lift, though inefficiently compared to an airfoil.

The clamshell design looks cool, but it is harder to make reliable, and more expensive to make, so I agree with your decision.

I hope something happened to that guy's nuts so he gets a Darwin Award :P

With the fixed point system I am using, I will actually get better precision in most cases, especially at high X and Y coordinates on the map, though the range is limited to 65536 blocks now. If I can get floorcasting to be fast enough, I will add it, but that is a secondary goal.

lol, it's basically the same thing, except you have to build the logic gates yourself :P
It's still slightly different, though, as redstone does not need to be in a circuit.

Great news!
Does the 84 pocket have different signing keys than the original? Is that why we can't use custom OSes ATM?

No, the bottom of the ramp is flat, so the air there stays still for the most part, with the bottom of the ramp just moving over it, while the air has to move up and over on top of the ramp. Though I still don't get how stunt planes can fly upside down, wouldn't a reverse-Bernoulli effect occur, pushing the plane down?

Mine won't have too much content. Once I get the raycasting working, I just need to make a few different levels, add an HUD and weapons, and zombies with a rudimentary AI system that makes them move towards the player.

...Raycasting *platformer*?? Does that mean both ray *and* floorcasting? That's gonna be tough, even Runer112s raycaster struggles in 15mhz with textures iirc....idk how much more strain adding a floorcaster onto it would have.
This is on nspire, so I don't need platforms ;)
My raycaster should run at at least the same speed as bwang's, but most likely faster as I am using all fixed point math.

Nice work! Is there going to be a story behind this game?
BTW, you have 1234 posts.

It is still a slope, the air would still be moving up it, though at an increasingly slower speed.

They must've had to mount that ramp on the truck pretty securely, or Bernoulli's Principle would make it act like an airplane wing and lift it up.

My friend created this in blender, and posted this on google buzz, where the comments started to become very random,

so of course I couldn't resist making it into what my avatar currently is.

Lol, first one I saw you with was the rickroll gif.
Cool! How would I do that?
