+1 for putting that into words. I was thinking of a way to say that, but you did it perfectly.

News / Re: TI-Nspire CX officially released at $159.99
« on: June 26, 2011, 05:29:29 pm »
Maybe some of the cheaper ones don't include a slidecase and/or student software
Or the calc OS is sold separately O.O

j/k, that would never happen, although sometimes, we never know...
Then they might be required to have a way for us to use our own OS if we don't want to buy theirs. So it could be a good thing.

TI-Nspire / Re: (Possible) Nspire Contest Entry

Nspire grayscale is certainly better than that on the 84, but with its high(er) resolution screen, you often wish you had more than 16 shades to work with.

Mine won't have too much content. Once I get the raycasting working, I just need to make a few different levels, add an HUD and weapons, and zombies with a rudimentary AI system that makes them move towards the player.

Couldn't you still run arbitrary commands by changing nspire-gcc in the makefile to anything you want?

Lua / Re: An equivalent to "wait()"?
« on: June 25, 2011, 11:26:04 pm »
You could use a for loop that increments >9000! times, but does nothing inside. I have no idea how long 9001 will actually take, you will have to experiment with different values.
I think timer is for measuring the amount of time, you could also set the timer to 0 and use a while loop that only exits after a certain time passes on the timer, though you will only get .01 second precision with this.

It will be awesome in the future when you can actually do that.
