It has an FPU?
This is great! It will make writing 3d engines much faster.

nDoom / Re: nDoom - BETA!« on: March 24, 2011, 08:22:27 pm »Well, it has a 32 bit address space, (Think 4GB) and naturally, much of it is unused. The high numbers are just for readability and room for expansion with new hardware versions.I know my pace of development is glacial, but I definitely am not giving up on the project - at least not before custom WADs are supported, the strange crashing bugs fixed, and Clickpad controls improved. Maybe with the exception of the strange random crashes, all those should be fairly easy to implement... I'll just need to find the time, since I've got ridiculous amounts of work, and non-calculator activities take up time as well (heresy, I know ^_^). 978
Gaming Discussion / Re: Nintendo continuing its interesting trend?« on: March 24, 2011, 08:20:19 pm »I think its like 840 X 480 - total, the pixels per eye is half.It has HD Graphics, unlike the Wii...I don't think it has over 640x480 (maybe 320x240?) pixels (unless you count every pixel twice due to the 3D... but it wouldn't be HD even then)It's only present in a few games. Since the original GBA didn't have a backlight, they made everything too bright instead, making it look terrible on GBAs that have backlight.Weird I didn't see the bright graphics. For example, a lot of NES RPGs are absent from the GBC, and for the GBA the sound quality for many game ports is crappy, not to mention I have yet to see classics such as Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger for the GBA (although CT came out for the DS later). My main problem with the GBA ports is the reduced screen size, and the ridiculously bright graphics in some games. 979

Other / Re: Nvidia GTX590 - overkill beyond the max!« on: March 24, 2011, 08:07:57 pm »
!
IMO, teh 6990 is still a better buy, because it has a greater power efficiency, and if you're using opencl, you have like 5 teraflops versus about 3 for the 590. A couple months ago I was at best buy, and the most powerful card there was a GTX 460, but it was $75 overpriced compared to online. They also had some 5750s and the like for about $130 (Also way overpriced). Me, I'm never gonna have a top of the line product, just too pricey for me. (Unless you count the RIVA 128 in my 13year old and counting computer - back then it was the best ) Also, neat coincidence it came out on my birthday 984

Looks nice, but the Prizm is sexier
I remember someone did a hardware mod and basically put a whole gameboy color inside their calc. With the smaller size, this would be cool if it were done again. Edit: 3 (!) replies while I was typing. 985

Apparently, IE9 can't render microsoft.com properly I get the same problem, so I'm guessing its just me.
It might have to do with the GPU acceleration being used. 988
