Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: I lost XP Home Premium

You might want to call Acer and tell them you lost your Windows XP CD. Or else you can always go buy one at the store. Also your netbook might have a recovery option, you might want to try it.

Also note that distribution of copyrighted stuff (such as ISOs of Windows) is forbidden here.

And anywhere else as far as i know :P

But yeah, try contacting acer, because they may give a disk to you if you still have the registration key or laptop id num (usually on a sticker on the bottom of your laptop)

strange i once saw someone rip a ds lite in half... they were kind of crazy
That's only the beginning. I once saw someone eating a deep fried PSP on YouTube.

How hungry was he? I wouldnt eat it unless i was very, very hungry. :D

NEW PROBLEM!

I have booted the LiveCD. My HDD setup on my second drive (the one with ubuntu), looks like this:

Drive 2
   unallocated: 13.72GB
   /dev/sdb2 (extended, 23.54)
      /dev/sdb6 (ubuntu, ext4): 5.07GB
      /dev/sdb7 (linux-swap): 510MB
      /dev/sdb5 (ntfs): 17.97GB

I want to enlarge the linux partition to take up all the unallocated space. i cant because sdb2 is too small. it also has a little key next to it. (idk what that means). Could someone help me figure out how to change the linux partition size?

EDIT:
My new hard disk state:

Code: [Select]
Drive 2
   /dev/sdb1 (/opt, ext4): 13.72GB
   /dev/sdb2 (extended, 23.54)
      /dev/sdb6 (ubuntu, ext4): 5.07GB
      /dev/sdb7 (linux-swap): 510MB
      /dev/sdb5 (ntfs): 17.97GB
