Don't know if its related, but UCF has been hit by quite a few bots recently too.
Didn't it also get hacked by the way? That was a bit scary when I got that e-mail. >.< I know TI-Freakware was hit by the spambot wave too, and on SMF, someone said he noticed a huge spike in spam in the last few days.
Well, it got hacked a while back, but since the hacker only stole information, and didn't do any damage, we didn't know about it until 2072 went through the logs recently. He didnt get any actual passwords, just the MD5 hashes. So 2072 just had everyone reset their passwords and that should be fine.

Are other stores allowed to buy batches of cheap stuff in another store if there's no limit per customer? If so, then that means that if you don't go early, another store might have bought almost or every item that are really discounted to re-sell them at higher price later. [...]
Yup. Well, where I live, the day after Christmas is around 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit. I think the only reason why they camp out is because stores say that eh first 10 customers will get a free ipad or other expensive device. Stores also give away a lot of other free things or really good deals, like $100 gift cards or cheap tv’s. Sadly, this has lead to a few shootings when tensions rise, and the accidental trampling of a Wal-Mart employee.
Yeah, it seems like every year one or two people end up getting killed...

I kinda don't like how stores are opening earlier and earlier. This year, I heard that Best Buy is going to open at midnight. I think that the only store around me to do that before was Walmart. How are you supposed to enjoy Thanksgiving then right after dinner line up to get a deal on some new stuff. The crazy thing is though that there are only a few great deals and most of the other stuff you can just find on sale some other time. It's just a marketing gimmick.
The way it works is that they have some really good sales, but they are all bought up right away. So everyone goes in expecting to get something super cheap, but most people will only get a normal sale. But the big thing is that the people will be in the store and most of them won't leave with they're hands empty just because there are no more sales left. BTW, near where I live, people have been literally camping out in front of best buy since sat., and they will have thanksgiving dinner in they're tents. Yuck.

Hmm Netham45, do you know if any of your anti-spams were down last night? Because there were like 100+ new registrations and an unusual amount of spam posts. Normally since the new anti-spam measures last Spring there are only 2-4 registrations a day...
TI-Freakware was hit as well it seems, but I'm unsure if they use the same anti-spam.

I find this thread sort of funny in that only a true geek would ask that question (no bad feelings meant)

PRIZM batteries last 1-2 months with ~2-4hr. of usage... for me at least. Do TI calc use more battery?
Its strange, but sometimes I find myself having to charge it every 1-2 days, other times I find myself recharging it every 1-2 weeks, even with near identical amounts of usage.
really? maybe you have unreliable batteries?

why wouldn't it use regular AAA's? the prizm does, and it has pretty good batt life. (actually, prizm allows both).

Adblock for operaAdblock for IEI was wrong, the ie version isnt technically and addon....but it works. anyway, i guess most people's situation is different than mine because it was my dad who introduced me to adblock, and my mom pretty much trusts me as far as computers go, as do all my aunts and uncles.
