OK.
In the login screen you will see a gear next to your name. Click on it and select the desktop environment you want. GNOME is GNOME3/ GNOME shell, and GNOME classic is pretty much like GNOME 2. You can install more Desktop Environments with terminal:
XCFE:
sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop
LXDE:
sudo apt-get install lubuntu-desktop
KDE:
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

When I asked on planet-casio why it didnt work, Veb (the main LFX developer) responded that: I believed these functions will never be used, that's why I didn't include them.
If you believe it is necessary, I will include them. So we should be able to start this project up again pretty soon

I so want one of these Casio Prizm things. Color lcd and such, just amazing. These program packs look pretty awesome as well, I've been wanting to branch out and mess around with Casio and play with the HP50g I bought. It's good to see that some people are putting some real effort into the non-ti calcs, they're under appreciated I think.
Yes, especially casio. Get a PRIZM if you have the dough, but I always advise getting an FX-9750GII for $40 and upgrading/hacking to FX-9860GII (essentially getting an FX-9860GII for half-price)

How do I choose another interface? I used to use Ubuntu for 3 years a while back until 2009 when I got a new computer. I don't know how to navigate the interface anymore...

this is the point you can start to ask yourself how far it got with the copying of mac's xs auwtch..
and btw, i can see quite a lot of software i like on you desktop
